The Good:The opening scene between Fujisawa and Sei: it was well written, and Matsumoto is a good actor. The complexity…
Hard disagree with your analysis of Kaori. I do not think her reaction was rooted in homophobia, or anything even close to it, more shock and surprise.
She's been in previous relationships where her asexuality takes over and her partner cheats on her so she isn't surprised by the cheating aspect as that's what she's used to it, so she can rightly call out being surprised by what she was actually surprised by - the gender.
I don't think she's a bad of a person as everyone is trying to make her out to be, she just lacks confidence and struggles with communication.
I'm watching this bc it's a BL, but lowkey think its exploration of sexless relationships in modern-day Japan is more interesting and don't necessarily think that a straight man cheating on his gf (with a man???) to fulfil his sexual desires makes sense... plus not sure if they built that tension between them enough for it to be convincing?
Like Japan is also known for its use of sex workers so this would perhaps makes more sense tbh. They just seem like good, decent and lonely people so I didn't think they'd cheat so the story of them finding and supporting each other to build a platonic relationship would've been a better story imo.

Ep6 seriously impressed me and i thought the story was quite different but i see that my opinion is in the minority lol.
The acting, pacing, chemistry and dialogue is 10/10. I'm so sad this is only 7 episodes, there's so much more to explore.
edit: oopsie guess i should have checked the other comments before i posted
