Yes! I lost interest when they started shifting more and more to the capital, and then the points were just skipping by. But I stuck with it because they had put a good base in the countryside, so I had to finish and try to understand. But I definitely skipped around towards the end.

Completed agreed! By the end, I was just skipping because even the big conflict didn't seem that big anymore to me, and when it was unwounded, I definitely got lost and had to read comments lol. All that aside, they had set a very good base for the show, and it mostly delivered.

Can anyone explain what the fake pregnancy with Consort Qi? Was it just that - A fake pregnancy? which made them all fired up, only to realize it was misdiagnosed, but then why did he still try to kill her?

It was random, honestly. With how many times he has gone and said to kill his kid, I don't think anything was redeeming his character. I honestly had hope regarding him and his brother too, but he disappointed as usual, and i for 1000% sure gave up on him.

Honestly, it took me embarrassingly long to figure out because I was like, " What is the point of leaving him hanging even when Qi Min is dying?" and then she just tells us "from a faraway place" and then 20 mins later I went, "she is from future or something cause duh she knew CPR" LOL

i finished this a long time ago and sometimes when I think about it randomly, i still get annoyed at the fact that she was so chill with him holding her back in school for another yr for no big reason... like?? i wish they talked about this later on in the drama. But other than that drama was a solid 8/10 for me

The moment they showed the tattoo sleeve is fake, I checked out! I don't know why that was a big deal for me, but at points, I was comparing the whole gangsta aura to "my sweet mobster," and it just wasn't coming to par or exceeding it.

Is there more to the story behind the emperor? He can't possibly have come into the story like 2 hours before like he says. His acting with everyone else in the court is so good (like when he is angry and being sarcastic), and this man is killing people with so much ease, which I wouldn't have expected from someone who just came into the story. Also he gets really sad when she talks about leaving, so WHAT IS GOING ONNNN ahhh? Please spoil a little, but don't also spoil too much LOL
