This is what I am saying. They reacted the way they did rather than show show as if it really mattered. It was to show good friends do not care about social status between each other. This is a recurring themes in the SOM starting with the sml. It was his feeling of life being unfair to him while Xu Gua was born with a silver spoon that made him so demeaning to her and also made him reject her because he felt his own insecurities. The friends reaction is different to his. They did not judge her. The love for who she is. It is all in fun to say they will ride her coat tails. Xu Gua trusts them but not her college friend. Huge contrast.

I thought her best friend squealed. It could be I read her expression that way. They were certainly surprised then excited. What I meant was, their reaction showed it didn't matter that much to them whether she was rich or not. Xu Gua looked visibly relieved they were not upset. And I didn't take your comment anyway at all. Calm down.

I am not even saying either is better plot wise. Both carried their themes well throughout the drama. Different themes but love conquers all works for all romance dramas. Different vibe. I listen to Esther Yu's OST, Crossing Boundary on my long walks. It gives me the perfect vibe for SAL. I haven't picked my favorite OST for SOM yet. But I enjoyed today's kiss scene in SOM. It was beautifully done. I love watching SWL's eyes. His smile goes right to them.

Today's kiss was so intimate though! The way he spoke so softly to her trying to coax her to join him even offering to pay for her friends and the way they kissed was swoonie. And trust me, I know what you mean. I watched Speed and Love just before this.I am just saying I can love chocolate and love vanilla too 😂

In the drama he is supposed to be a heartthrob. His personality and visuals makes it hard to believe. He looks so gloomy all the time.

I saw the special episode and can never understand these directors. I saw a clip with director awards. He must have been looking for the creative award. Another disappointing ending was Bright Eyes in the Dark. The book had a happy wedding ending but shock to us all was the so called "open" ending. The outrage was so bad that Johnny Huang and Zhang Jing Yi did a livestream where JH said his character did not die etc. I was so mad.

I don't think Yu Tu was insecure.

Speed and Love is different. For SOM, the kiss today works. It is a different vibe. I am still obsessed with Speed and Love but I also love what I see in SOM.

They were screaming with excitement. I think it wasn't such a issue because they sincerely like her for who she is. Great friends.

I have watched the kiss scene in ep 29 at least 10 times already. It wasn't even just the kiss but the way it was all done. He whispers to her. I want to know what he is planning after her night with her friends 😂

I don't like the app. I cannot see the discussions in the app but I can see it on my computer or the website.

I thought I would rewatch it but at the time I was mesmerized by the ML. I am not going to especially with the ending.

I think the reason I loved it was the ML. He was charismatic. The mystery was good too but I have not rewatched it. I thought I would because I was obsessed with it at the time.

If you were next to me you would have seen me trying to look under the candlelight like a fool. I couldn't believe it was totally blocked.
