I keep thinking of things I want to happen. I am happy that several did, I hope to see a scene where Xu Yan goes to the Shen house and cooks Chenchen's favorite dish for him or she goes to see him. I agree. That was an awful thing to say so maybe you are right that it is the translation. The fact that they kept it as secret that Haochen is Haoming's son, shows there is a concern that he will not be trusted if the board members feel he is not responsible.

She knew her husband would not approve I guess and she really liked Xu Yan. She looked happy when she saw Xu Yan in her beautiful wedding gown. If you noticed the way she got Xu Yan to deal with Haochen's fight at school. She told Xu Yan that she was more patient than she was. Both the MIL and Haochen miss Xu Yan. The FIL is more concerned about the company.

The dad is concerned about the company. He seemed good to Haochen before though. I was surprised to hear the dad say he should have not kept Haochen. When Haoming said he didn't see Haochen that way, it struck me that Haoming was so much better than Xu Yan's father. It is good thing.

I feel a little bad for him though. When he got the message to meet her to register their divorce he looked lost with the phone hanging from his hand. But after he found out there is a one month cooling period, he had such a big appetite at dinner. He made me hungry watching him eat😂

I feel the same. I love your word choice "showcased." She has always been talented but in Love's Ambition her character requires many emotional shifts and she is truly "showcasing" her talents.

I grew up watching the way my mother was with her father. She might not always like what he said but she was always polite and respectful to him. It seemed right to me that Xu Yan apologize. I wasn't surprise because I thought this would happen. She was more respectful to her MIL and FIL than her own parents because when you think about it, the in laws treated her well. Her biological parents didn't even consider her.

I think the mil did her own investigation and found out about Xu Yan's background, but she liked her. She admired her for being smart. I don't think she told the fil. As Haoming said, his mother is difficult to please but Xu Yan got her approval.
