I am going to wait after this because I have to start packing for a trip. I am at my mom's so had time to watch plus she got me hooked on her cdrama that has no subtitles. It is awful though and I don't know why I asked her what they were saying. She said she doesn't want to watch the young people dramas😂 She wants to watch the realistic ones with family relationships. The main guy is cheating on his wife with her bestfriend. He is terrible. I don't know how this is realistic. She gets two episodes a day on youtube and the translation she gave me doesn't seem to have an English title to search online for the synopsis.

I didn't buy into whatever the director was trying to do, so either I found them ridiculous or just ignored them. I had a mental block on SRQ after reading chapter 171 of the book. If you ignore them as now we know the plot where he is concerned, you will enjoy TPR more. PWX is smart, sweet, and adorable. I rewatched him in his black costume in ep 39/40 several times. I loved him when got control of the power that his uncle stole from his father and also when he marched up the palace stairs.

I heard Lovely Runner was good but I haven't watched it. I am not a big fan of Kdama fan. I was going to watch Lovely Runner instead of Queen of Tears but got distracted with some new Cdramas. I will take a look it again. I was thinking to watch a mini drama until I am ready to sink into another drama.

I am sitting here watching ep 5 of TPR again. I thought there were 8 episodes out but there are only 5. PWX showed a great understanding for politics right from the start. And now I am more suspicious of SRQ since we know what happened with him. But PWX is still so funny. I still laughed when he drew himself bowing the princess on her drawing 😂

I watched it for the leads and I was able to overlook SRQ. You are right about the leads. Their chemistry made this great for. I enjoyed it. Have you seen the bonus episode?

At least he still had that petty jealousy which reminded me of his character in SOKP 😂 I loved him in this. He made me love PWX. His character had courage, strength, and intellect while being a doting husband. He was so adorable.

The doppelgänger was way out there. But I still enjoyed the main couple.

PWX was not a weak husband.I loved his determination to hold on to LR but at times he voiced his frustration and LR fear of him leaving her would be evident. He always assured her that he would stay by her side. He was her rock for the times she needed someone to lean on. And he was also her advisor for the times he thought she was going to make a mistake. This showed strength in his character.

This is sad. ZLH was amazing in his role as PWX. I saw the different sides to his character and loved him. Even though the drama did not go into detail about his career in politics, it was evident that he had a clear understanding of the ins and outs of politics and was a brilliant strategist. He was confident and brave. The fact that he doted on his wife and wanted to stay by her side time around does not make him a simp. I watched the drama for the drama and ZLH convinced me PWX was all of of the things I previously mentioned. I loved him when he put his uncle in his place and got the control that rightfully belonged to him. I loved him when marched right up those palace stairs to get to LR. And more....

I did not know this! I loved AASOL and had LeiMai as my profile picture for several months and I still loved TPR. She is a an excellent actress. I loved her spin on LR much better than in what I read in the novel.

Someone made me read chap 171 and I didn't like the amnesia scene because PWX didn't like LR and worked against the chemistry we saw in the drama. But somehow, it was so ridiculous the huge bump on his head that it worked as a comedy 😂 And then the hickies the morning after the "elexir"😂

It's okay. I figured it out after. I loved the snuggling also! PeiRong is an adorable couple with a wonderful chemistry.

I loved the visuals. The bonus episode is especially bright and happy. I loved it when they did the overview shot.

Yes. I got this from the scene also. One thing I did not understand from reading only parts of the book was why did PWX fake SRQ's death?

Now this I will agree. However, L&P did not get to a rating of 9 here on MDL because people felt the ML was toxic. It is too bad that some will not look deeper into the characters of a drama.

People are so obsessed with SRQ's screen time and what they feel is the intention of the director to romanticize his scenes that they didn't even notice LR didn't help SRQ when he was bleeding to death. I heard the blood gush out at one point. But LR stood far. It wasn't until he pulled out the little object (is it a dragonfly?) from the past that she went closer. It was a touching scene.
I don't think PWX was trying reunite LR with SRQ. I am rewatching now and did not get to that part but I think he wanted to test her. I will pay close attention to his reasons when I get to it.

Absolutely! I also agree that SRQ's death scene was dragged out. They should have stopped much earlier. But I also understand that his pov needed to be addressed.

I loved the soup scene and wish we had seen the kids with PWX and LR. But it was still a joy to see more of PeiRong. And we got Tong Ye too! 😂

I would not even respond to the person who is obsessively sharing hate on this drama.

The actors were great especially the leads.
