1. I love ZLH, i really do, he did a good job for sure and is my best male chinese actor since i love SOKP but…
You are expressing how you feel quite nicely. You mentioned what you liked and didn't like. Nobody is going attack you. And I agree with you about Zhang Ling He!!! I have SOKP on my rewatch list. I was thinking to start LYF but instead I will revisit SOKP. I don't even remember the plot for some reason.

Even though she is restrained, she also shows kindness to others. It is quite evident the way she treats the people…
๐ฏ Yes! I am glad to see you are enjoying this. Once you get to ep 11 you wil understand more about their past. But LR will need some patience as she takes a while to fully admit her love for PWX even though to me it was obvious. I want to start over and watch again but will hold back until Netflix releases it.
can anyone tell when was the song devoted love appeared? like pls include the eps no. I wanna know
I think I heard it ep 39/40. Not sure. Maybe someone else will know.I know it played around the 31st min of ep 39 when PWX went up the stairs. I cannot get enough of that scene!
After watching this drama i really don't understand the low rating but i will assume it was because of the romance,…
I was going to suggest Love Like the Galaxy but I see you already watched it. I also liked Who Rules the World but it doesn't seem to be as popular. Strong fl and ml lead who have a a special bond. It gets draggy with politics at times. I watched it 3 times just because I loved the chemistry, Lusi, Yang Yang...
if you have issues with the story not following the novel, tell me if this is the first time in the entire years…
I felt very much the minority in here but I think many are watching and like it. I received some messages from some who might not be visible here but have read the comments and still loved the drama. I will also say, I met some who disagree with me but I also understand their viewpoint as a novel reader. Not all are just hating on the drama. Some are giving insightful comments expressing their disappointment in the adaptation of a novel they loved. I just wished there had been more of a balance in discussion. Strangely, the parts I read seem to indicate the drama follows closely with the book. But since I did not read most of the book, I cannot pick up on any significant differences or which scenes were added in for SRQ. From the comments, one example was SRQ twirling down with LR. In the book he saved her but the producer included music and SRQ saying he won this time. Therefore, those who feel the producer was showing favoritism toward the actor and those who hated the added romance to the rescue scene were outraged. Since I did not read the book and didn't know anything about the producer and the actor, ( I still don't know) I watched that scene and laughed it off because it was ridiculous and I didn't feel LR was looking at SRQ with any love in her eyes so I felt no outrage. But i was so cringy!
why are the ratings going low? is it because of the hate of SRQ getting too much screen time? I believe it is…
Last night, I took the time to rewatch ep 39 and 40. My first time was with poor subtitles and not enough sleep. It is sad that Zhang Ling He and Jin Mai performed well...very well...and yet people left ratings of one. I am not against SRQ having screentime at the end because it served its purpose to explain his actions, but I agree with some that it should have been less time and lless details about their past together. I listened to his speech and felt some pity for his life. LR told him he made his choice. But it went too far. There was no need for talk about kids and castration ๐คฎ Who needs to hear that? It seems to me the screenwriter included a subtle reference to the imagery from chap 170 that I hoped would be excluded. I can understand the flashbacks to when they met as children to show how LR admired his ideology and that they became friends. But I also found so much more to love about this drama, and it is a pity it ended with so much negative feedback from viewers to the point there are some still trying to get people to lower ratings.
And on a side note, why is it that there seems to be little commentary on LR screaming at SRQ that he was the cause of the problems.?I don't remember the exact words but she screamed at him when she was locked in the room by PWX to keep her safe. And in ep 40 she told him he is where he is of his own choice. Her only concern was PWX and you could see her place her hand over her abdomen praying PWX will be safe. I understand the outrage that she would rush toward the fire to save him, but there were so many times she showed SRQ that she did not love him or admire his choices. And PWX also went toward the fire. I just put that down to the producer's desire for dramatics but some see it as LR still cannot decide between PWX and SRQ.
One major theme for this drama is given a second chance in life the choices we make should reflect the lessons we learned. While LR and PWX made choices to change their outcomes in their past life, SRQ failed to accept the changes. LR's words to SRQ in the final episode emphasizes the theme that we live by the choices we make.
The umbrella scene you see in my profile is significant in showing that SRQ was the same as he was before but LR and PWX together are moving in a different direction to a different outcome. Both LR and PWX observed that SRQ looked the same as he did before. LR looking back at him wasn't because she was yearning for him because she could not decide. Her love for PWX was confirmed to me earlier in this drama.
There are so many significant and beautiful scenes between the leads and I wish the discussion would have brought them out rather than the focus on the negative.
Happy ending. I love the cp and the romance. The ML is my favorite and I will be rewatching. It depends on you and what you see. Some things stand out for some that do not stand out for me and others. Just watch it without reading the comments and decide for yourself. First two episodes are tough as FL bullies the ML. But that does not last.
