Why do the directors keep changing the endings for their own glory?

The director for Xu Kai's drama Moonlit Reunion is the same as The Double.Not sure I am happy about this. Maybe he will be careful with his endings after being scolded for The Double.

The director should think about what the viewers want to see. I saw an award event on youtube where directors received awards also. He is going after one of those.

Oh...I don't even want to think of the duo they killed for no reason but dramatic glory for the director. I knew it was going to happen from the previews but did not want to believe it. It was brutal and soooo wrong! Tong should have been sent away in the drama if the actress need to go back to school or they could have just filmed her parts ahead of time.

I mentioned this somewhere before. A great short lengthed drama to help with withdrawal symptoms is Beauty Stategy. The first 7 eps are on YouTube and I watched up to ep 18 on Dramacool. I love it. It is not The Double but at this point I still want to bask in the afterglow of Duke Su, so Beauty Strategy serves its purpose.

If Duke Su can use a fan to defend himself without batting and eyelid, he can do anything.

The ending is happy to me. The director was trying to be creative at our expense. Makes me so mad.

Duke Su is indomitable. There is nobody like him. Even if it was the enemy that appeared at the end of the battle scene, he can take them out.

When I first watched ep 40, I was eager to move on to the extra episode so I didn't analyze the last battle scene and felt the ending was happy if not satisfying. It seemed to me she ran out to the tree to meet him as he said he would return when the tree blossomed. She smiled, and then we saw someone riding across the field and I assumed it was Duke Su. It wasn't until I saw the posts from people who said he died that I went back to watch the battle scene and I had some second thoughts 😭 But I am sticking with a happy ending because I don't ever want to think anything happened God Duke Su! The bonus episodes show a happy married life so that is it. These directors should stop trying to win awards with these endings and give the viewers what they want. I hope the director knows people are not happy with him.

On the other hand, I love what he did with the flirt scenes. The ost made these scenes playful and fun to watch.

About the ending.....

What happened to Wanning that turned into the psychopath she was, was pitiful but apart from that I had no pity for her.

Yes. I watched AASOL so many times I had to force myself to stop. It is easy to rewatch as there is hardly any angst.

I hope the next drama he does has some good kiss scenes. Beauty Strategy has more kisses and the episodes are only 12 mins. But nothing beats Duke Su's flirty eyes.
