Which episode are you on? This is the drama that made me love Zhang Jing Yi.

As for Li Xun. I love him! Everytime I rewatch, I pick up on more details and I will tell you, if you look beyond the surface, you might love him too. And listen to the what he says. He is deep. And he loves Zhu Yun deeply.

I did not find Zhu Yun pathetic. I found her to be strong and resilient. She knew what she wanted and did what she knew she must do. To her there was no other choice. She had accomplished so much abroad and was over qualified for the job with this start up company but she wanted to fight for the company Gao stole from Li Xun and she wanted to be with him. I loved her for not giving up. She understood Li Xun without him having to say anything but it does hurt to think how much she suffered and it also hurts to think of Li Xun in jail.

In the first episodes he appeared cold, but there were signs that he was drawn to her. 4 episodes are not enough for you understand what happened between them and there is some angst, but the love they had for each and the way they understood each other was so special that this drama has a special place in my heart. Not to worry. Not going to push it on you. You are not the only person to not like Li Xun. Sometimes first impressions are hard to change but as someone who watched this drama in its entirety, he has a big heart and helps others. I gave you some recommendations of dramas with minimal angst in another comment. I am going to take a look at your list to see what you have already watched and give you some more.

If you like noona, you will like Find Yourself. It is the only noona drama I watched and enjoyed otherwise I skip them.

The Kdramas I enjoyed were WWWSK, Fight For My Way, Cunning Single Lady, Business Proposal, Descendants of the Sun. The only ones I rewatched were Cunning Single Lady and Descendants of the Sun. I watched one that was recommended to me by many and has high ratings but I disliked it so much and it was about the 3rd Kdrama I watched with crazy screaming characters that I almost gave up Kdramas. I am trying to remember the name. I w ill let you know once I remember it so you can steer me away from those types. LOL!
Edited: I remember now! It was Marry My Husband. I disliked it because of all the screaming crazy characters including the FL who I liked in WWWSK but after MMH, I will never watch her again.

Cdramas with minimal or no angst: Hidden Love, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, Hi Venus, You Are My Glory, Meet Yourself ( Cdrama version of Hometown Cha Cha. I watched both and love Meet Yourself so much more because of course...Li Xian!)

Aww... I will tell you it is not as it might seem with L&P. If you had continued you would have seen Li Xun protects Zhu Yun with all his being and broke her heart at one point because he felt what he was about to do for what was done to his sister would not be good for her to be with him. It is what he did for her that led to what happened to him around ep 23 but he never once blamed her and even stopped one person for saying it. He will protect her when he can. He had a goal to develop this medical program that would help people get medical help to save lives because of what happened to his mother. But he did something that Zhu Yun wanted done and set off a series of events which ended in tragedy. That was the only time he hurt her but he did it because he felt she was better off breaking away from him. On my 4th rewatch, I skipped ep 23 because of the pain and the angst.

I keep hoping for her to be in more dramas.

Li Xun loves Zhu Yun deeply. Listen to what he defines as "princess" and you will know he means Zhu Yun. Notice that he doesn't baby her but he allows her to grow. He guides her without doing the task for her and she learns to figure it out with his help. She comes from family who kept her sheltered. And yet you will see her prove how strong she can be. I have yet to find a drama like L&P. Keep watching and give Li Xun a chance. L&P will forever have a special place in my heart.

I looked at your PTW list and you have some good ones on there. If you want some suggestion, just let me know what you prefer in a drama and I will give you some suggestions. If you have not completed L&P, I highly recommend you stick with it and pay close attention to what is said by Li Xun. Don't feel he doesn' t care. He is one of the most giving people with a big heart.

I looked at your list and you are missing some of the very best of Cdramas. However, I am not sure what you prefer. I will take a look at your Kdramas. I have Queen of Tears on my list but waiting for it to end. I will tell you that some of the Kdramas I really liked are not on the popular list.

I watched a few Kdramas and have a few favorites. Nothing beats Lighter & Princess for me. There are only a few Kdrama I found myself rewatching. I love the actor in Descendant of the Sun.

She suffered and he suffered too. He felt that she was better off without him. But she knew that in his heart, he will always love her. She didn't whine about it when she saw him again. She simply put herself in his presence and did her thing. She supported him in her way. And he looked out for her even if he made it appear as if he didn't care. Zhang Jing Yi because a top favorite of mine after seeing her in L&P and since then, she has never disappointed me.

As you said it was not back and forth. It started in the present but then it quickly went to the past until around ep 23 where there is a quick time jump of 3 years to where the drama began. I would have loved to have seen another episode of the leads because I came to love them so much. But even without a few more episodes, the chemistry and enduring love shown by the main couple was not diminished. There is nothing like Lighter & Princess. I found it so hard to move on and will always rewatch because there was something so special about them that makes me miss them. Li Xun doesn' t always say much but when he does, his words have such depth. 10 x 10 x 10 x 10....

There is nothing quite like L&P. The couple match makes it one of kind. But there are other dramas with great chemistry. The actress in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love reminds me of Zhang Jing Yi because of her natural acting style and the drama has a beautiful couple chemistry. It is not the same as L&P but you might enjoy the couple.

It's Zhang Jing Yi. She never disappoints.

Best Choice Ever with Xu Kai. It's really good.

I had to laugh when the younger sister went after her about the hot water and the ML and the little cutie stepped back with a shocked look on their faces😂

Her family dynamics is quite interesting.

Ep 6 was much better. Her hair looked styled and she was so sweet to the little girl. I realize she and her younger sister just like to fight so it was fun to watch.

Actually, she is getting better or I am getting used to her. Just watched her in ep 6 where she helps the little girl braid her hair. Really enjoyed this episode.

I cringe everytime she starts screaming. This is the first time I am seeing this actress. I will give it some more time to see if she changes.
