I hope you saw the airport scene where she confessed she loved him before! This scene made me cry. As for WIFTY, I feel I need to rewatch it later because I watched it to fill the time while waiting for HL and I was too distracted with rewatching HL episodes and BTS that I know I did not give it the attention it deserves. My friend loves them both also and the ratings are on par.

I will watch it again at a later date. I did find WIFTY sweet but there were parts or even episodes that focused on the secondary couple that I found boring. Even so, I loved the main leads. To be honest, Chen Zhe Yuan's eyes... Duan Jiaxu's kindness, gentleness, sweetness, smiles... all contributed to my obsession with HL. The show itself is unique. The combination of the family dynamics, siblings, and first love romance were all so warm and sweet.

I watched WIFTY while I was watching Hidden Love. While I did like WIFTY, I found myself fast fowarding through the secondary couple and some parts but I did not fast forward through Hidden Love. In fact, I am obsessed with Hidden Love. I watch all the BTS and keep rewatching favorite scenes. Maybe I will rewatch WIFTY as I think I was too distracted with Hidden Love to really get into it. I am not a fan of the FL in WIFTY. I don't dislike her but some of her facial expressions as just not appealing.

I think his character is better than most think. I really like him for protecting Xu Qin growing up and making life in his house less difficult that it could have been. He was there for her. In addition, she recognized him for that towards the end. The text she sent him as he was walking away was so sweet. It touches me that he cared for her even if there was time he thought he felt more than brotherly love. I really think it was the protective shell he built around that he found difficult to break down. But once he saw she was happy with Song Yan and that Song Yan knew her so well he could see that she was depressed. Looking up at the building where Xu Qin lived, it was a revelation for Yan Chen to see that maybe he could not always protect Xu Qin if she was not happy without Song Yan. And that is all Yan Chen really wanted was to see Xu Qin happy. He will always be there for her especially as he moved up in the ranks of the family when he took over the company from his father.

What do they have to apologize for? I don't understand why some viewers are so judgmental. The actors are playing a part.

It starts slow with some filler episodes. But the turning point is to the middle around ep 22. It is really sweet and touching to see the love they have for each other and how much Song Yan went through to be with Xu Qin even if he didn't admit it her for the first half of the show.

I am finding it hard to watch too. It is definitely not Hidden Love. But I am pushing forward to the college life episodes. I heard it gets better. There are some sweet parts but I find myself so distracted. I felt sad this morning when I realized no more Fireworks of My Heart.

It would be great if they gave Yan Chen his story. He found his place in the business, now he needs his own love story.

I don't see it that way. She loved him always.

It was heartbreaking when she broke up with him. She hurt herself and Song Yan. But the reason she became a doctor was so she could earn her own money and be independent. However, 10 years is a long time not to be in touch with Song Yan. But it was not all for herself. She wanted to be with him again because she loved him.

I thought I would never like Ze Yi but seeing her guard the hole in the rain made me feel she might be redeemed. I still do not want her with Yan Chen. Her false accusations against him made that impossible in my eyes but they could be friends. In any event, he never really liked her that way.

I love Wang Chu Ran! Have you seen her in Have a Crush on You? The ending was a bit disappointing because we didn't get the wedding scene same as in this show.

I don't know how you concluded she did it for herself. Did you not see how hard it was for her to walk away from the family that took her in when she was orphaned? Song Yan knows how difficult it was for her to stand up to her mother when he met her at the mall. He knows her well.

I find it strange too. I could not finish My Dear Guardian because of the FL. I cannot imagine it has a higher rating that this. I did like Road Home even though the FL is not a favorite of mine. I tend to avoid her shows. But I really liked Road Home.

@themarchioness I think Song Yan looked as if he suspected Ye Zi in the show. I will have to see on my rewatch. I am not sure when I will rewatch. I have already rewatched my favorite episodes as I waited for the next. Thank you so much for the recaps of the last 8 episodes. It helped while I waited for the subtitles. Now I am going to watch ep 40.
