On Taxi Driver Season 2 Sep 13, 2023
"Taxi Driver" is definitely the most satisfying thriller drama I've watched. Season 2 is even better since there's no annoying prosecutor who hinders on their way. I love everyone's teamwork while solving the cases using smart and creative methods. I really enjoy how they approach the criminals and work hard to bring the justice. Even though it's so unrealistic, I'm still glad that everything is going smoothly on their way and they successfully catch the criminals. I strongly support the anti-hero characters who do the actions and punishment for the criminals who keeps getting away and freely roam around. Honestly, I hope this kind of vigilantes exists in real life. The law is corrupted and the world is unfair. There's a lot of victims out there who needs people like them.
On The Golden Spoon Sep 13, 2023
This drama is so interesting but also frustrating. It's not that frustrating type that turns me off, I was still entertained while watching it. No matter what happened, I was always on the side of Seungchun. Realistically, if he didn't got the golden spoon, his family will continue to suffer and might probably be gone. He made sacrifices and while he was on his another life, he helped them in many things with his money. Just hardwork wasn't enough and wouldn't really make him go far. His family and Taeyong are lucky to have him but they didn't even realized how much he contributed to them so they could live and keep going.

I actually love the ending. It's so unique! In the first place, the plot and concept is really unique, I've never seen anything like this. Their kind of life and relationships changed, but their face/body/personality/abilities still remains in them. Then the unexpected ending made it more unique. It's not happy or sad, it's far different. I'm fascinated by it and it also made me laugh. It's smart yet ridiculous.

PS. I was so annoyed by Taeyong and it's so satisfying when Yujin slapped him for 3 times to bring him back to his senses lol.
On SF8: Baby It’s Over Outside Sep 13, 2023
I love SF8's episode of "Baby It's Over Outside" about the doomsday. It has a good potential to be a separate drama with longer episodes. It's really interesting. People aren't in chaos but cherishing their time with loved ones + people with random psychic abilities are appearing to save the world + time travel plot twist. There's more to explore to this storyline. They should have made this into its own full drama!

PS. The visuals are so stunning. I love the scenes when the world was ending. Just wow.
On Seasons of Blossom Sep 13, 2023
When I watched the first episode, I already burst out of tears. This drama is so sensitive to me. I was tearing up and crying in each episodes even to those normal scenes that aren't sad, since it touched me or made me emotional. In the last episode, I was literally sobbing so much that my chest hurts.

I've seen many sad romance movies where the person is sick/dies. It always have a cliché ending of reading their letters. "Seasons of Blossom" is different, the main character DID NOT read the letter left for her. It was a sign for her to move on. She finally accepted it. But it just feels more painful to me...

PS. We never know what's inside his letter, but I think it's about his pain and resentment. If she read the letter, it will only bring her more pain and guilt. That's why her subconscious of Hamin was telling her not to read it.
On The Sound of Magic Sep 13, 2023
I really love "The Sound of Magic / Annarasumanara". It's a perfect cup of tea for me and it has similar vibes to my other favorite drama "The School Nurse Files". The fantasy, magic and music that makes you feel like you're in wonderland. But the dark side, twist and deep message made me emotional, it hit me so much... About the Peter Pan who decided to live a carefree and magical life that makes him happy. Innocence is precious. This drama is so beautiful and it has everything I need. It's special for me, specifically the aspects about inner child and escapism.

Some iconic and memorable lines in this drama:

“Do you believe in magic?”

“I don’t think he wanted to become an adult. He hated and feared becoming an adult like his parents and teachers, who everyone said were great, becoming like the adults who trapped him. So maybe that’s why he just wanted to stay as a kid. Like a child that believes in real magic.”

“He had no choice. At some point, the world became a place people like you can’t live in. Because if you don’t meet the set standards, you are treated like a failure. That’s what I thought at first too. That you are living your life, running away, because you’d failed to adapt to reality. But you know what? I think I kind of understand now. Since when did this world become a place where even dreams have to meet a standard? Just what kind of qualifications are necessary to become a respected adult? I just need to be me. So why do we try so hard not to fall too far from the norms of the average person?”

“His magic wasn’t able to make all of my misfortune go away, but I know the power of magic that he showed me. Magic doesn’t create miracles, but allows you to discover them.”

“How should we live life? A lot of adults give a lot of answers. How would an immature child answer that question? Would that answer be wrong?”

“Make your own fantasy.”
On Move to Heaven Sep 13, 2023
When I started to watch "Move To Heaven", I stopped because my eyes were getting swollen from crying. It's truly one of the best dramas. It's so beautiful and deep that evokes all kinds of emotions to you and makes you live through it. It's interesting to know about a trauma cleaning service that cleans the deceased's rooms/homes. The main character has asperger's syndrome and he's a genius. While collecting the items of the deceased, he observes and analyzes them. Through it, untold stories/secrets are revealed and the last messages are delivered.

“How beautiful it is to look at someone from the back who confidently knows it’s their time to leave. My love that endured a season of passion in spring is falling. Blossoms fall everywhere. I am surrounded by the blessings of farewell. And now it’s time to leave. Toward an exuberant forest and to autumn when trees begin to bear fruit. My youth dies like a flower does.”

I broke down, crying, sobbing while watching this. I'm soft and weak for good old characters. But this old couple affected me so much. Episode 6 left the deepest impression on me.

This drama is flawless, I loved everything about it. Aside from the classical music, the dreamy yet upbeat bgm stood out to me the most. It feels like you're in space and it makes you feel hypnotized. It suits the mood and more effective when it comes after the quiet scenes.

Title Happiness
This drama got me so hooked. It's a realistic survival drama set in post-covid era where there's a new virus outbreak that makes people act like zombies (they never mentioned "zombie" in here though). It's interesting to see all the characters trapped in the apartment. It reflected our current society and shows the human nature, but I hate how they added a psycho killer when there's already zombies lurking around.

My favorite thing in this drama is the main couple. They're my dream couple. Not dramatic, no awkward moments or even being formal. I love how they're just straightforward and comfortable with each other since their first meeting in highschool. It's so cool how they're both so strong and capable. I love their calm chemistry and awesome teamwork. They're so compatible with each other, I was rooting for them and they made the mood of this drama better despite being in an apocalypse/quarantine filled with desperate people going crazy.
On D.P. Sep 13, 2023
Title D.P.
This is one of the most painful kdramas and it's unbearable to watch. It shows the dark reality and horrifying abuse in the military. It's tragic that it's being normalized and ignored because soldiers should be "strong men" and "give respect" to their seniors/superiors. No one can seek help or get punished. This happens anywhere in the world, but I guess the situation is a little better now with the presence of social media being a huge help.

The DPs are doing their job to find the runaway soldiers and they also suffered. But I'm so annoyed when they kept chasing the last soldier and treated him like he's the bad guy. I can't help but also blame them, they didn't care before and only took action when the victim snapped.

“I should at least do something.”

The ending gave me goosebumps... The two perspectives and outcomes from the victims of bullying/abuse. Kill themselves to stop their sufferings or kill the perpetrators to prevent others, but make themselves suffer differently.
On All of Us Are Dead Sep 13, 2023
"All Of Us Are Dead" is so good. I love how they showed the students' perspective during the zombie apocalypse and portrayed it well. Just kids having their own flaws and problems, separated from their families so they rely on each other. Most of them are so annoying but it's still fun to see them working together to survive from the zombies. Honestly, I kinda support the reason why the virus started. It's new and thought provoking (even though it wasn't intended for the world and just an accident). The ending is cool and got more interesting because of the half zombies. I can't wait for Season 2.

What I hate in this drama is how they wasted the opportunity for the actual revenge plot. The bullies deserves to suffer, but they had an easy death. I hate how the psycho bully was immune, he can't die and keeps getting his way smoothly. The girl who's his victim didn't even met him after she finally became strong. Both of them could have an epic fight. Also, I can't believe that he was the one who's obsessed of taking revenge and even succeeded with it. I'm so sick of the extreme bullying in many dramas and this feels like they tried to glorify it. What was the purpose of the victims? They just ignored their side. They could have made this into a better zombie school drama with bullying victims having a wake-up call and standing strong against their perpetrators during the unexpected time.

PS. If I was one of the students in this drama, I would probably be the one who tags along without doing much but just being quiet to not cause trouble. Or the one who hides by herself in a room, safe from the zombies but died from the explosion lol.
On Decision to Leave Sep 13, 2023
Thinking about this movie again and how it has the most unique death I've seen/known. I was honestly blown away by it.
On My Lovely Liar Sep 13, 2023
Some people are not liking the mystery since they want the romance more. When this drama is doing good at balancing both the romance and mystery. The romance is already stready and so now they're solving the mystery. That's the point of mystery, to keep us guessing. And it actually got more interesting.

I love how Solhee used her ability by tricking and interrogating the CEO's brother. She's so charismatic. And the plot twist... I could already feel that the CEO is obsessive and just using Doha. But I never thought of it and I ignored the other theories since it's unlikely for this drama. Honestly, I don't like the plot twist, with the betrayal of friend... But it's more that I'm nervous if some LGBT people will get mad and complain that they're making them the bad guys and not giving a good representation. They might accuse My Lovely Liar as a problematic drama... I just hope some people won't take this seriously, this is fiction and foremost, a mystery drama where most characters are bad people, no matter what their identity are.
Lily Alice Sep 12, 2023
Just my observation... When there's a kdrama remake of a jdrama, jdrama fans tends to overact, be against it, and use "romance" as an excuse to already hate on it. (They think kdramas are just all about romance and honestly, it seems like they're just threatened that the kdrama remake will get more popular.)

Compared to the reactions of kdrama fans when there's a jdrama remake, they're just chill and sometimes it doesn't even get that much attention. Well, it's not really a big deal and remake adaptations has been common for ages.
On Voice Season 5 Sep 12, 2023
Voice Season 1-3 aired each year in 2017-2019, but they had a one year gap for Season 4. Is it because of Covid? And Season 4's ending obviously shows it will continue. Is Season 5 not gonna air this 2023? It's been 2 years since Season 5 was announced and they're taking long now.

Anyway, my favorite male lead character was Jang Hyuk's. I hope he comes back in the new season. And since Season 5 will explore more about the female lead's past connections, it might be possible.
On Somebody Sep 12, 2023
Title Somebody
I hated everyone except for the shaman. Surprisingly, she's the only sane person in this drama.
On My Lovely Liar Sep 12, 2023
"If I say so, then it is"

Solhee's catchphrase is finally back! Her connection with the gangsters is fun. I like how they're kind to her and even helping her. In an alternative world, she could be their boss lol. It's so cool to see Solhee and Doha being investigators along with the help of the gangsters and police Kangmin. Solhee has been helping Doha with her ability for multiple times, and now Doha has became her official client. Her part in solving Doha's murder case is really important.

Also, now we finally see the CEO's true colors. He's not the culprit, he's helping the real culprit. But something's still suspicious...

This was good. It got better in the last episodes. The twist after twist after twist. I got more interested with the ending and I'm looking forward if there's a season 2.

Amazing! I will never understand why many people take sh*it about Netflix originals, when most of them are incredible...
This. Many Netflix original dramas are actually unique and masterpiece. But kdrama fans are too negative about them. Honestly, I think it's more about feeling bitter: they don't like that it's new/darker from typical kdramas and it gets more reach with non-fans watching it. I noticed this kind of behavior after the global success of Squid Game.

Title Mask Girl
The ratings is 7.9 but I rated this drama a perfect 10. I've watched a lot of thrillers and most of them made me frustrated and not care about the characters. With common tropes about criminals keep running away and victims make stupid decisions. But this drama is different and it's surprisingly entertaining for me despite with those tropes. I was so hooked in every episodes and I was understanding for the characters despite their flaws and craziness. I didn't even realize the time and I wanted this to be longer. But all 7 episodes were satisfying. The visuals and vibes were also awesome.

From Our Blues, Moving, Mask Girl — I really love this kind of style and format where each episodes introduces new characters and shows different timelines. The way the plot is presented is different as if they're new but they're all connected. It's a lot more interesting and engaging. It pulls me in to their stories.
