Looked forward to this drama. Just finished ep 24 and it's been disappointing so far
I do enjoy those scenes too. How could they understand each other, if it was not for lowering their barriers and taking care of one another. Indeed, the village arc was a dream life that what could be, amidst all this manhunt they were the targets. That's all the point of seduction, they had to see what could be, to have the courage to make it happen. Those viewers wanted angst and sexual innuendo. I don't think that suits a S+ chinese drama. In the trailers, it was not all dark and sexy. The viewers were not misled. And I find it very unfair to rate low a drama this quality over a misunderstanding. It is a pity.

About the sexual tension, I agree, they could have kept this up more. There were several scene they could add sexual tension in it. I don't know why they did not. And how I disliked seeing her leave MRJH like that. I know that she has a huge sense of honor. And I think that she wants to repay her "life saving" debt to YQ for saving her life. That's the reason, I think, she left MRJH. But it is still harsh because until now she is oblivious of YQ hidden obsession for her. So, basically she goes on a diplomatic mission with her saviour. To me she is not shallow but impartial when it comes to her honor. This is why she embarked on this revenge quest. She should learn to prioritize her feelings a little. She is impartial like MRJH is as well. That's the reason he drugged her and went alone to put his life on the line , in order to save his father. At that point of time, protecting her and saving his father for revenge was the most important. I am hopeful, because now they are in Qinzhou. If the sexual tension could comeback that would be great at this point of the story.
