I didn't watch the drama but there is no romance tag. As a result, not portraying romance is normal. This should not be a reason to downgrade the drama.

The long length drama was great, at least for the first 15 episodes. This doesn't seem to have the same intrigue. It was not Worth my time. I dropped it.

I agree. And I totally understand why the production of company wants to make money with the drama. I didn't see the new release but I am not sure the emotion would be conveyed with the swapped face.

This drama is one of my favorites with the original actress. Not sure I like the robotics face swapping.
A pity, the original actress Zheng Shuang did such mess with a surrogate pregnancy, and had such a huge scandal then fled for the U.S.

The guy was indeed depressed after he woke up. But in the vertical, except for the baby they lost , both woke up, so I guess this is far better than this horrible guy's story. But yes, losing your beloved child is heartwrenching. Chinese writer probably took inspiration there.

No worries. It's funny. The drama was so popular. That kind of funny controversy is indeed common for a drama this good.... Well I guess one can get pregnant in bo're life but will one wake up with a baby ? I doubt it.
However, I watched a xianxia vertical drama yesterday in which enemies star-crossed lovers fell in love in bo're life , started a family and then we're together when they woke up.
So , you can definitely have a baby but he will not survive out of the illusion. Have a good day :)

I am not against modifications in dramas, but it must benefit the original novel. Or if it is a spinoff that serve to explore the story of a side character of the novel for example.
I dislike butchering the most. It it just lazy writing ☹️
