I agree with you. I understand you. Yes me too. I think that the feeling lingers and yes I am moonie for life too. I don't know when/if another drama can surpass this unique emotion I felt watching this masterpiece.

@joas Of course the cast did an amazing job and the success is due to the work of the entire crew. This art work could convey emotions to people just narrating a story about beeing a human beeing. No wonder it is popular. It speaks to people's soul in a mysterious way.

@ChunTian I did not know LYX had an accident on set. Luckily the makeup artist was so good that it was not noticable. For me the make up was perferct and in sync was the character.

The success of this drama is not only related to the cast in my opinion:
- First and foremost, the story is about humanity. So, a large part of us human beings can relate to it .
- Second of all, the casting is top notch. Every cast member was on point and the popularity of the show on social medias if proof of that.
- Moreover, I heard a youtuber saying that the CGI was bad because it lacks depth. I don't agree at all. On my second watch of the drama, I paid attention to this point. And I could see depth between where the characters are and the landscape. So I strongly object on that point. The dragon, the battles... everything was better than all the dramas I have watched so far. So I dont know what issue you encountered with the CGI? Feel free to elaborate.
- And, about the makeup. I heard the same youtuber saying that the color around the eyes of Tan Tai Jin was horrendous. The makeup of all the cast was bad. and the jewellery on the hair of Lee Su Su was too heavy and disturbing. Well.... This is a common cinematographic/ theatrical practice to color the surrounding of antagonists characters eyes with red, orange, and black. So, this youtuber does not know what she is talking about when she is bashing the makeup. Does she even understand "characterisation" in cinema and theater. I doubt it. To me she is spreading nonsense. And unfortunatly, she is making a fool out of herself. Too bad people listen to her. But I digress. Maybe the makeup does not disturb you ? I am sorry if I took it at heart.
To conclude : I believe in human beings. If a work of art speaks to a huge amont of people. I consider that this is a masterpiece. Because this is what ART ( as a concept) does. Regardless of ones ( my ) personnal taste. If an artwork speaks to one about who he deeply is as a human beeing. I am not surprised that this artwork is successful and popular.
Those are several of the reasons why the drama became one of my favourites.
Imo, the script is all over the place. The one responsible for the editing and transitions looks like an amateur…
I think that it is more like a puzzle. They do it on purpose to later piece everything together. I see it for example when they show Female Leads memories : as the story goes they bring it piece by piece. So I am patient and I wait for the story to unfold.
