The worst part is I had full confidence with the writers as they did so well earlier. I was waiting and slowly losing hope til ep32. Then I saw the bonus episodes and thought, this must be it. But then they were just bts hahahaha
Now I have to use my imagination and come up with my own satisfying ending.🤣

And I also didn't like how randomly strong XJS was.
I was waiting for explanation how he did all that. Like how he meddled with HRY while literally getting lightning punishment. And the awful timing of BJS slashing ShiAn, just to create that deep hate between them. The way XJS calculated things is just farfetch.

Some things that I thought would show up again in the grand reveal as I thought 'surely, there is something more to this'
1) story of how BJS escape his heaventurning seal
2)the bird that hit SZ and cause him to lose powers
3)the Venerables being suspiciously busy
4)LY being 'family' with the dragon
5)the 3 rock person
6)MengQian being reincarnated etc and connected to the present
7) and yeah, the goddess of time
8) the point of the artifacts, would have liked it better if they reveal XJS is using HRY to ressurect his own family as only HRY has the power to fully utilize the devices

We can only imagine haha
But I'm guessing he'll still take the punishment but won't seal her. That way baby ShiAn will have spiritual energy and his Mama can also protect him while Daddy is in prison lol

Yeah, I share the same opinion. I think it was unmet expectations. All this time I thought every lines and characters were intentional. I was waiting for the grand reveal on how things are connected towards the end, only for that to never arrive. Maybe blaming my own imaginative mind and comments I read for the countless theories. The writer actually did so well in the beginning. I always thought they are hinting into something.
Maybe it really was because they cut the episodes.
I feel they made the decision to focus more on the emotional misunderstanding part and gave up the scenes that should have tied up the whole plot.

But, still a good show. Haven't been so invested in a while.

I think I'm feeling what RuYue felt. 😂I loved this drama and was so invested in it that now I feel really critical with the ending.
If I wasn't so invested I wouldn't have cared enough to dislike the ending.

Lol they said BJS captured him in ep3. It was revealed later he did not, they were prisonmates. That's the inconsistency.
I know you love the drama and trying to rationalize, I love it too that's why I want to make it logical.
But honestly, there is no satisfying answers.

Some of my unanswered questions:
-in ep3 it was mentioned XJS was captured by BJS and locked up. this was inconsistent to what XJS said that they were prisonmates.
-how was XJS controlling that random villain and wandering immortal from the Thunder platform? He can conjure bodies?
-who freed BJS? Is it XJS?
-that's an awful perfect timing of BJS slashing ShiAn.
-Did XJS loosened Hell's Ruins nails
-I feel with how strong XJS became, the whole Avenger like sequence is not necessary. Could have went straight and just target BJS.
-Where are the Empyrean and what's the point of the useless Venerables lol


All in all I get XJS's emotional madness, but his gameplan is very flawed and filled with uneccessary stuff.
Some of this I can come up with reasons but honestly I wanted the show to explicitly clear it up.haha

Oh yes, definitely. Right after finishing, although I was unhappy with several things, I immediately thought the what they did with LingEr, her dad and LongYuan was really great. I was satisfied with it. Long Yuan really has strong, even to the point blind, loyalty to BJS.

Yes, that is also the big question. They made a fuss over the dragon and yet no reaction to the bigger issue.
The only reason I came up is that Heaven already knows the outcome, they know it is part of HRY and BJS tribulation and no need to interfere.

Yes. If there is one thing I like it's this conclusion of LingEr's storyline too.
I also like how they reveal the reason why her father was obsessed on protecting her.

I gotta admit this is mine and other 'people who loves making theories' fault.
I was gearing for a mind blowing tie up of events. There's a feeling of let down upon realizing it wasn't as mental as I wanted it to be. They went for the symbolic and philosophical conclusion instead.

My brain is just rationalizing that Empyrean knows this is only part of their Love Tribulation so they didn't interfere, and yeah sorry to you 'side characters' who got nerfed in the process. 👀

I feel you. This drama had potential for perfection but I think the ending threw it away. I still like it, but I'm really not satisfied.
It has initially set itself a really logical series where everything has a reason, has an explanation and make sense. The ending threw me off, I know they were going for a symbolic and even deep philosophical interpretation (of regret, of calamity, cause and effect, love and hate, etc). But as
much as I want to, I can't get myself to like it.🥲
Why did the writer gave up in the end and took the regular xianxia ending trope. We were doing so well beforehand. 😭

Just finished watching it first.
It's still top tier for a xianxia, but it could have been so much better.

I know her going to the past on their most pivotal moments of regret is the key point. And the whole thing was their love tribulation. But Idk, I'm feeling bummed. There were so many things left unanswered.🥲

You know I love this drama, but I have to be objective, I didn't like the way the last 4 episodes went.
I felt like it was a cheap way of giving a HE.
But still, I find it was worth it. It's just it set my expectations so high that I wasn't satisfied with the conclusion.

If only this is 60episodes, I'm willing to take 10episodes of baby BJS with just how adorable he is 😌🤏🐶
