Chen Feiyu said it was when he saw Zhu Yun's perseverance and stubborn nature at the rooftop sleeping there all…
Exactly. I think when he said 'it looks like a scene from a fairytale' it not in any sort of romantic way. It just depicts his inner feelings on how he realise how miserable he is and how distant ZhuYun's world was.
Tbh, that scene could have possibly triggered some negative stereotype he initially has with ZhuYun, like being fake and hypocritical when she approached him. It's only when he saw her perseverance that he started looking at her differently.
It's also amazing of the director that they mirrored that bday scene in the last episode. When he was looking at her from across the window (in their new house),how similar the scenes were, but how different LiXun perceive and feels that moment compared to the first. It was truly about his journey.
I 1000000% love LLTG part 1, but part 2 fell short for me..Unless something great really comes up in the next…
As others mentioned, it's a slow burn, but unlike others I didn't mind that the main couple didn't have much screentime together on Part 1, Part 1 for me was perfect. My issue with part 2 is I felt the editing was rushed, it wasn't as polished as the first part. And tbh, as much as I love WuLei and LuSi (and they truly also have chemistry!!), I believe the director/script didn't utilize this chemistry to the full extent.

I second this. I don't believe he fell in love at first sight. LX is not sentimental, he's kinda jaded, he did truly find her hypocritical in the beginning. It is when he left his jacket that he started to really take interest in her, after seeing her perseverance.
I wonder when ZY realized LX was lying? Or did she ever believe in the lies LX said in prison to drive her away?
it's during the awarding ceremony when she ran but failed to reached LX before he attacked FZJ, she already figured LX is planning something that's why he acted abnormally.
She was hurt and depressed on the prison scene, but I don't think she truly believed what came out of his mouth. That's why when they met again she wasn't really angry with him.
Scenes that I wished could have been added : I wish we saw more interactions between LiXun and Dong Siyang, and him finally getting someone as a father figure. We all know LiXun is kinda rude and often looks down on others, not like he's mean or anything but he usually dismiss others' opinion. But you can tell he deeply respects Dong SiYang, he includes him in all of his 'secret' plans and actually also always consults with him. Would be interesting to see what kind of conversation they have whenever they have those closed door meetings.
He was 21, for me it’s a kid :-DI’m 33 and 12 years ago, in Uni, we definitely were just kids )))))
I think it's just us aging so we now tend to notice how young actors are.haha In Korea there are also a lot of young actors, the only difference is that in China it seems Producers are more open to giving big projects to younger actor too. In comparison, Korea often likes to play it safe and only casts established actors on bigger budget productions.
if chen fei and jing yin in a drama/movie again, fuck the story, fuck the production or anything..their appearance…
I saw on upcoming films page that they will actually be on the same movie. Although, seems like they are not paired together, JingYi is main role while FeiYu is only support

Girl, I'm 32! haha I experienced the same dilemma with WuLei before when I found out his age. But now who cares, as long as they're adults.haha I group FeiYu with Dylan and WuLei. They fall into into the same bracket for me.haha
ohhhh to love like ZhuYun and be loved in return.. this is what makes dramas like this depressing when they end.. November was tough for me but they were my dose of serotonin and now I'm missing it so bad.
I hope a new good series comes SOON to cure this post drama depression.

yes, that why it's impressive how he's able to play a matured role. He reminds me a lot of the first time I've seen WuLei, they look really young but can carry matured roles so well. :)
Btw, I am also watching variety show 'Have Fun' now. I think it is such a testament on how good an actor FeiYu is, because he's nothing like LiXun in real life! He's basically like an overgrown kid haha It's even more amazing that these two shows were shot around the same time.
I'm far from a delusional fan, usually even if I really really like a drama and main couple I always find myself mentally pairing them with my other favorite actors for their future projects. But these two, I don't know why, I feel like it would take me a while to see them with other partners haha I am even skipping JingYi's new drama bts scene with Johnny Huang on my feed. And FeiYu, I saw he's got a new project with LuSi (who I also adore) and yet I do not feel my usual excitement.
Maybe because I know it will be either they will have no chemistry or they will also have that chemistry and that feels like goodbye to my XunYun couple.haha
I know it's just me not moving on from L&P, because these two will always own any new characters they will play, I'm just not ready for it.

Unless something great really comes up in the next 4 weeks, L&P is my top drama for 2022.

It's sort of like Mythbusters, they test/experiment on different theories.

LiXun is healthy in dramaland and will live a happy long life with ZhuYun and kids.
In the novel he's a heavy smoker, drama LiXun's lungs are healthy lol
