To be fair, among Cdramaland daughters, ZhuYun can actually already be considered 'rebellious' by a certain standard. Like any asian household, we hear her mother nags about this and that, but did ZY listen though? No..she just let her mom talk but she doesn't really follow her. She lies to her mother just to pacify the situation, you don't have to confront everything or alienate your parent just to prove a point. So for me, I'm not annoyed with ZY at all, by Asian standards she's a boss girl lol
You know what? as much as I love this drama to get recognition, it's a double-edged sword, now some people who gets triggered by the ratings and the praises just comes to posts negative things. Like I appreciate the few comments before that didn't like it because it's just not their taste, but now you'll see that some that probably didn't like it and find reason to downvote just because it did better than their favorites. It's such a blessing this started low-key. I truly enjoyed the past weeks where everything is so positive, the discussions we have and the anticipation for the next episodes. Like we don't know each other but I feel some camaraderie here seeing familiar usernames. I hope we can keep the same positive vibes here and it doesn't get soon flooded with negativity.

I second this. It's quite funny to see how culture is ingrained in our minds. I'm an Asian living in Europe, and sometime I watch Asian films with my European friends. They react almost the same as original poster above over these topics. It's really hard to grasp the cultural mindset unless you grew up in it.
Do you know that actress from Netflix's 'Wednesday' Emma Byers? I got curious and checked her IG, she follows a bunch of Cdrama actors, including Feiyu haha
i know how widespread Kpop and Kdrama are, but it's really some dedication to find C-actors on intl social media (as they're not even active or verified)😂
Can't belive I'm saying this but Fang zhi jing really got back his senses after the @ss kicking by li xun. Like…
True! I mentioned the same thing before. I kinda like him later on in the drama. He's pretty straightforward, just wants his money and is not influenced by any pride or grudge.
my tiktok fyp won't let me move on from this. that's why I'm always here, because none of the people I know in real life can understand how I feel about this series, I need somewhere to vent. haha
Guys, how do they have such a comfortable and natural chemistry?! 🥺🫶🏻😭https://www.instagram.com/reel/Clor5x1hW5t/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
have you seen their first meeting? JingYi was super shy, she can't even look at FeiYu. haha He said it took them sometime to warm up to each other as both have social anxiety.
I am just thinking where to insert the deleted/cut proposal scene. It is nighttime and they are wearing the same…
Actually, I tried to replay it a couple of times but ZY is really not wearing an engagement ring during the wedding. But in the last party clip, she's indeed wearing a big diamond ring.
