I LOVE LOVE today's episode!! Tbh, I was scared it's gonna be cringey but it played perfectly. Some things I appreciate : -they recognized her, so rare on Cdramas! usually FL dress as a man and they magically couldn't tell she's a girl ๐ -she was realistic and not overly passionate, I love how she tells her crew that their priority is to stay alive and even deviced plan on how to fool the generals. No cringe heroism! -Shi Hu (the enemy) was the one who initiated fighting her. Again, I like that she didn't intentionally play hero but only fought for survival It was realistic and it fits the current narrative.
I love how no one is questioning the science of how QM got smooth skin again ๐ we just accept that this basically plastic surgery exist in that era.
Just appreciating today how far the hair pieces/wigs have evolved. As someone who's been watching chinese xianxia and wuxia for almost 10yrs, each year they just get better. They look more and more natural. I think the wispy bangs really add to the allure.
Its not their lack of security. Its because they did not want to stop Marquis's wife I guess, or they did not…
Lol who said I'm worked up? ๐คฃ I just didn't like the direction they went as it was going perfect previously. We're allowed to be critical of the story. No need to defend every aspect of it just because you like it.

Then XW doesn't deserve to be in the military. We can play this afraid of offending Marquis wife card, but it made XZ's army look incompetent and less formidable being run around by a woman. I wished the scene played out differently.
the way they are letting her run around the military base is becoming annoying
Yes, I did not like these scenarios. And don't tell me it's because some knows she's the Marquis wife, offending her is a lesser offense than letting her take an important hostage. The whole scenario was ridiculous imo, and made XZ's army look incompetent

I'm just trying to make sense of the plot, as having Xie Wu there and still letting CY take out YQ is more ridiculous. And don't tell me XW thinks it was a good idea, he would not overstep his authority specially XZ doesn't know about CY's plan.

They did not know she is the Marquis wife. They blocked her in the beginning. It was XZ's personal guard who allowed her to enter. I believe she took YQ when XZ's personal guard was away, which leaves the other soldiers failing on their duty.
I like how he is using himself to teach her a lesson, but I think the guards on the cave shld be punished too. Because what do you mean she managed to breakout their most important hostage ๐ฉ
I feel bad for Mr Jin, he obviously has a crush on Changgyu. Hopefully he stays alive til the end. It's giving me a bad premonition that he'll sacrifice for her.
Not trying to shade the other Female General series, but this series really shows how it must be done. Despite CY being small and also having a simple mind, her growth to becoming a female general is really natural. It didn't feel forced or cringe for me. His butcher gang squad also grew on me. There was a proper buildup rather than forcing your audience to suspend disbelief and just accept the plot.
Plus, I think there are indicators in their armor what rank they are.
I hope there is still chance he survives.
I hate for him to just serve as a lesson for CY ๐ญ
When he was trying to leave his money to CY, I thought he was a goner

Can't wait for tomorrow's episode๐
