I LOVE LOVE today's episode!! Tbh, I was scared it's gonna be cringey but it played perfectly.
Some things I appreciate :
-they recognized her, so rare on Cdramas! usually FL dress as a man and they magically couldn't tell she's a girl 🙄
-she was realistic and not overly passionate, I love how she tells her crew that their priority is to stay alive and even deviced plan on how to fool the generals. No cringe heroism!
-Shi Hu (the enemy) was the one who initiated fighting her. Again, I like that she didn't intentionally play hero but only fought for survival
It was realistic and it fits the current narrative.

I'm just trying to make sense of the plot, as having Xie Wu there and still letting CY take out YQ is more ridiculous. And don't tell me XW thinks it was a good idea, he would not overstep his authority specially XZ doesn't know about CY's plan.

They did not know she is the Marquis wife. They blocked her in the beginning. It was XZ's personal guard who allowed her to enter. I believe she took YQ when XZ's personal guard was away, which leaves the other soldiers failing on their duty.

I feel bad for Mr Jin, he obviously has a crush on Changgyu. Hopefully he stays alive til the end. It's giving me a bad premonition that he'll sacrifice for her.

Not trying to shade the other Female General series, but this series really shows how it must be done. Despite CY being small and also having a simple mind, her growth to becoming a female general is really natural. It didn't feel forced or cringe for me. His butcher gang squad also grew on me.
There was a proper buildup rather than forcing your audience to suspend disbelief and just accept the plot.
