Consort Yue is so savage! Love how she put everyone in their place. Even so, everyone in the Imperial Family is making me feel uneasy, we have some clues but it's hard to tell who will later on become ally or foes.
And btw, who is the First Princess that Consort Yue mentioned? Is it the current Empress? and why does she call her 'sister?
Another curiosity question, what's the point of the rule that dramas cannot exceed 40episodes anymore if they are basically able to air Part 1 and Part 2 without a period gap? Or does this have more to do with money? Like now that they have to split it, production have to pay twice for certification, licensing or etc?
Just curious. I vaguely remember on ep1 that part of the reason Old Madam doesn't like YuanYi (ShaoShang's mother) is because she's a divorcee. Does her being a divorcee play something in the plot later on? Or is this just a random info? Please don't spoil the details, just curious if it will or will not affect the plot.
I enjoy reading comments here and interacting with fellow fans. I try to keep up to date as soon as possible with released episodes so I don't mind reading about events that were aired already. However, I wish for the people WHO HAD READ THE NOVEL and knows about the plot/story far in advance to PLEASE MARK THESE THINGS AS SPOILERS. I know you can't contain your excitement on how this will be adapted in the series, but let the non-readers experience this excitement on how the story unfolds as well. The anticipation and buildup of not knowing what will happen in the future episodes adds to the whole experience for us. Pretty please<3
WuLei looks so mature when he's serious, but when he smiles he instantly look like his age or younger even. What a gorgeous smile (even when it's supposed to be an awkward scene), the teeth and everything. As Old Madam says, everything in his face is placed perfectly haha I do notice on side profile his nose is a bit short, but even that is endearing to me now. <3
The only thing that I dislike about part 1 is the lack of interaction between the 2 main lead. I feel that if…
I'm probably minority, but I honestly like it this way, I applaud the Director for really building the character background before bringing them together. And c'mon, we have a long long way to go, it makes their relationship seems more organic and realistic.
I saw a clip on tiktok and decided to watch it. The CGI, makeup, costume is really cringey. I somehow imagine the actors being embarrassed when they watch post production. But anyhow, I did finish it. It's mediocre but not abominable bad. I think the whole legend/story cannot be crammed into a 2hr movie. A lot of things didn't make sense. There are tons of better movies out there, but on a lazy bored day, I guess this will do.
Wetv since it's the official site. If you want legal. Not sure about IQYI since LLTG is not available in my region.
I think WEtv is also not available in my region. I'm watching this currently on dramacool, but I'm struggling with the embedded subs, they are too small for my poor eyesight.
This is the mother of all cliche dramas which surprisingly works! why is no one picking this up again for a remake? After watching Begin Again, I can imagine GongJun and Zhou Yutong, and the kid actor Youyou would do a good remake of this.
There is an old Taiwanese show”Mars”. I wonder how amazing it would be if you and Yaya had to act on a remake…
This is my all time favorite drama, nothing has topped it yet. I think because of the subject matter (rape), Korea is somehow avoiding it. It would work if Netflix would produce it. As for Thai adaptation, it has to be given to good producers and director. As much as I love some Thai Lakorn and adore the actors, 80% of Thai shows are cringey.
I was at ep15 and I totally forgot I was watching this. This is an okay story, but totally forgettable. I didn't even have the motivation even til now to finish the last episode. *sigh*
I have said this since the beginning of this series, but I am sincerely grateful to the editing team for not blinding…
Yes, this is also the first thing I noticed in LLTG. The cinematography and color grading is excellent. And true, Immortal Samsara's CGI looks really off. I'm trying to justify in my head that it is because the stunts and scenes themselves are ambitious and no way you can perfect a CGI with that. However, even if we accept a certain level of flaw, what they delivered is really mediocre and definitely something a little bit better is achievable. I really hope the story and plot will save it. I mean TMOPB's CGI is also laughable but the story and acting carried it. At the moment, Immortal Samsara is not yet serving anything for me. I'm giving it 15 episodes to see if it will deliver.
I just started it ,,, I found it engaging but not that much ,, I liked the villain more than the male lead
Yes. I think it is a matter of personal taste. I know ML is supposed to be innocent and naive and we empathize with him. However, I just can't feel this way. I just see him as pathetic, useless and lame. It's true, the villain is even more interesting.
I pushed thru 22 episodes of this and nowhere did it capture my interest. I kept trying because I like Reba, I like the angsty synopsis, I like the Director (most of my favorite Cdramas are directed by him), I am encouraged by the high reviews here. However, I don't think I will watch part 2 anymore (although I feel bad about the hours I already invested). I don't see any chemistry and I couldn't get myself to care about ML. Such a pity, I wanted to like this. one positive note : the OST is superb!
guys, how’s the series compared to WHRTW? I liked the latter so I was wondering if it’s something similar
Honest non-biased opinion as I like all the leads from both series. I dropped WRTW as it was kinda boring for me, I couldn't get myself to care about the characters. I might pick it up again one day. As for LLTG, actually out of all my anticipated dramas, this was at the bottom of my list -synopsis wise (Legend of Anle is first). However, this has taken me by surprise. I am hooked from the first episode, everything looks high quality. And I know this would go down as one of my most favorite dramas when even within the first 10 episodes, it had made me laugh and *ugly* cry several times (usually you need at least 12 episodes to warm up on dramas of this genre). Because they are able to flesh out individual characters properly, I do not mind the slow burn romance at all. This is because I like, care about and sympathize with the characters individually, all their moments together are just icing on cake.
