So Esther Yu uses her real voice and Dylan Wang is apparently dubbed by Wang Bao Shun. Does anyone know if he…
I saw an article that he is mostly dubbed (probably more so on historical/costume dramas) because he has a 'weak' voice, it doesn't match the character. I think the voice actor did a great job though.
It’s him. His arms are quite long and fit and his long hair covers up most of the back. I don’t think he’s…
Yes, the back view with the muscled arms is imposing, the front view not so much, that's probably why they skipped a frontal shot. Glad to hear Dylan is working on himself.
It's a pretty standard thing before any guys do shirtless scenes, they work out and also sometimes diet, don't…
It's also not uncommon in the Chinese industry that some actors skip this effort. Some use body suits, pads and body doubles. Happy to hear Dylan is dedicated and putting some work.
I have another important random question haha On *that scene*, the thunder punishment scene, was that really Dylan's back or is it a body double? I know he's fit but he's still on the slim side. That back and arm scene is so hot hahaha But it looks more muscular than Dylan
I'll keep reposting this every now and then until all these comments about 'open ending, it is a dream/hallucination/it's not real' comments go away (you guys are scaring off new viewers lol). I'm telling you THE ENDING IS REAL. This is a Xianxia genre, you should not equate physical death with absolute death. Their physical manifestations are just a vessel for their primordial spirit/soul. Some spirits are not born from parents, they could be in a form whatever being (plants, animals, dragons etc) and only thru acquiring 'energy' or 'cultivating' are they able to manifest into physical human form. In the case of DFQC and Chidi woman, they are even more special as their primordial spirit is way stronger than any beings in the 3 realm. Remember how in episode 1 they said DFQC is basically indestructible, therefore the best they could do is scatter and trap his spirit in the Haotian tower. Technically, in these 30,000 years he was also dead if we only talk about physical form. In Xianxia world , you can be *dead* but not *dead dead*. As long as even a wisp of their primordial spirit remains, they can come back to physical form after acquiring enough cultivation. This is basically the same concept DFQC did on XLH primordial spirit inside the seed, nurtured her until she gains form.
SPOILER!!! In the last episode, you'll notice XLH stopped crying and calmed down when she saw the orchid bone , because she knows there is hope of him coming back, as that orchid bone still has a trace of his spirit. That's why she's also not looking depressed in the 500 years, she's helping DFQC cultivate back to physical form. This is also the reason why the ending seems very anti-climactic, no drama, no effects, XLH wasn't even surprised or shocked, it's because she knew he will be back and it was only a matter of time. Now that I rethink it, that "I'm back' line is not as lame. It just shows how much faith they have that they will naturally get back together again.
Please don't answer me spoilers. I have seen some xianxias that got high scores just for the leads, but i want…
Short answer to is this drama really good : YES
Now for the more objective answer : This doesn't have that same complicated 'saga' as Eternal Love or Ashes of Love. The story here is much simpler and easy to follow. I do think this is one of the best introductory drama for those who are not familiar with Xianxia. However, even though the story is much simpler compared to other xianxia, it is beautifully executed and emotionally charged. Because there are also less characters, you'll see more focus on ML and FL development. The events and action here are also more logical compared to other fantasy dramas. The characters are consistent, the flow is very smooth, there is no love at first sight or grand gestures, the way they fell in love is very natural. DongFang QingCang ironically also reminds me of Yehua, though they are the polar opposite on morals, their actions towards their beloved is steadfast and admirable.
I didn't like you in Meteor Garden, I actually thought the franchise gave you fame before you even deserve it. But seeing you now in LBFaD, wow, what a glow up! You did justice to the role, very well done. It's real skill to project that commanding aura without looking like you're trying too hard., plus the emotional scenes are also beautifully done. Moon Supreme will go down as one of my most favorite characters. Looking forward to your future works.
???? At ppl who think it was OE??Did you guys ever watch xianxia?XLH said that love is a wonder. So she received…
I think people who say this are not use to Xianxia dramas. They equate physical death to real death and not used to the concept of souls/spirits. Why do people keep forgetting that it was mentioned in first episode that DFQC is basically indestructible? They could not completely obliterate his spirit that's why the best they could do is lock it in the Haotian tower. So technically he is also dead for 30000 if we just talk about physical form. As long as even a wisp of his spirit remain, he can be back. When XLH saw that orchid bone floating (as in previous ep he mentioned he made it with his primordial spirit), it's obvious she knew he will be back, it's only a matter of time of how much cultivation needed to regain physical form again. This is probably also the reason why the ending is not dramatic, XLH is not surprised at all, it's because she was just waiting.
It was not a "happy ending" as I belive the ML did not comeback to life. They just gave us that glimpse of him…
exactly, maybe that's why the ending is also not so dramatic. because I know for a fact that Orchid is confident that he will be back, it's only a matter of how much time he needs to manifest again.
Orchid was nurturing/cultivating his spirit during those years, sooner or later he will manifest again in physical form. I think Orchid is fully confident he will be back.

I'm used to Xianxia dramas by now and I'm telling you it's real :) With these dramas, you can be 'dead' but never truly dead. Especially given that DFQC is born a supreme immortal and they pointed out repeatedly in the first episodes that he's basically indestructible, therefore they could not completely kill him and the best they could do is imprison his primordial spirit in the Haotian tower. Technically, he is also dead without a form for 30,000 year. The way I understand the logic in these lore is that all beings have souls, the 'real you' is your soul/spirit rather than a physical manifestation. Like how a mortal can 'cultivate' in hopes of becoming an immortal , spirits born without human form (as plant, dragon etc) can also cultivate to manifest in human forms. So physical death is not the end, as long as even a wisp of your spirit remains and it can be cultivated/nurtured, they can manifest again into physical form. Same as how DFQC nurtured Orchid as a seed, a wisp of DFQC spirit is also in that orchid bone, it's only a matter of how much 'cultivating/nurturing/acquiring energy' is needed and DFQC's conscious desire to manifest again. In this case, it took them 500 years. So yeah, it's a happy ending. forget about this dream theory:) The only negative thing about it is it is so abrupt, and the 'I'm back' line is a bit lame.
I think the voice actor did a great job though.
