It’s the highest for a non finale episode, but it’s the 2nd highest overall. 2gether the series had 4.8m tweets…
No, CP had other eps that reached 3mil they just didn't get it within that short of a time. For instance, I think it was ep. 6 & 7 the salted egg/kitchen scene reached 3 mil. They just took much longer to get to the 3 mil. This one was like really quick. I think it's still trending several days later.
1. Who in the hell is doing these recommendations? These bl lakorns are in no way similar to this one. Just b/c they're bl doesn't mean they're the same. Just b/c they use some of the same boys doesn't mean it's the same. Just b/c it's done by the same company doesn't mean it's the same.
2. Why did people drop this bl lakorn? It's almost as bad as the recommendations....No nothing is as bad as those recommendations. OMG.
Blind as a bat. I don't see anything like bros. Bros to me screams friendship & brotherhood. Meaning close familial relationship affection. I don't see that at all. That's especially the case when it comes to bromances. That shows an interdependence & again familial connection. I sense confusion on one end & the other sincerity. But neither seem to be reaching anything "bromance" related.
B/c it isn't. It's a modern story about the last supper &/or satire on a non-secular state. I'm currently writing out each & every Biblical relationship...it's so detailed & long. I decided to leave out the parables & psalms there's no point in that. I decided to stay shallow in my reviews. Just in the first 13 mins of ep. 1 is taking a very long time to write up.
Whoever wrote this is either Christian (a lost Catholic) or a Catholic & kept up their Catechism. I'm a Catholic from elementary to ALL-Girls Catholic - AP Religion. Then I studied a dozen other religions ...which I'm avoiding of adding as counters. This drama is extremely complicated.
At first, I thought Yo Han is more like a Jesus - but then I realized maybe they wanted him to be like John the Baptist...since Yo Han is the Hebrew Yohan which is the romanized John = John the Baptist who for some Christians the son of God. However, for Catholics /Jews/Islam one of the greatest Prophets.
However, in ep.1 there are things that Kang Yo Han says that makes him sound more like Pontius Pilot. Pontius Pilot never wanted to persecute Jesus. I really felt bad for this guy. My mom is like what sort of twisted thinking do you have. However, seriously - he put it to a vote & he always said I wash my hands of this, this is the vote of the people. The people had the power and they wanted the death of Christ.
Now I'm wondering who's role is Kang Yo Han...time will tell. At the end of the day, they all die horrible deaths so meh...
Unless Ch7 allows a freelance actor to appear on their lakorn as a main actor like Ch3 does, it’s not likely…
Unlikely...they might actually give her Push before C7 releases Mookda from that contract. They'd NEVER let her go. Every drama she does rolls in money. I can watch and have watched every drama and like except the one w/ Kem. I hate when she's manhandled. I really do.
My primary interest is in BL stories and the majority of the shows I watch are BLs. I haven't been much involved…
I'm so confused by your post. I guess you haven't been in the bl environment long enough to note that the bl community has the same: "air of hyper-vigilance and instances of mob mentality that really lack perspective" Very prominent in the bl community leading to huge arguments in pockets over these things: a) the romanticization of rape common in Thai bl lakorns - that leads to war bet/ Thai bl fans (who've actually shut down lakorns [thank you]) & international fans. b) Chinese ban origins & extension of it (how it is not limited to homosexual dramas) c) bromance, bl, lgbtq+ = major differences
"Their entertainment industry is under a scrutiny like I've never seen while actual societal issues in S. Korea can all too often be overlooked or ignored."
This isn't true at all. This is completely false. You've clearly said you've not been involved in SK dramas therefore you can't comment on the industry or the "actual societal issues". For instance, a racialized advertisement KBS had on black people was found utterly racist. They actually issued a public apology & made an announcement about racism. In many ways, the societal issues have gone head to head w/ the industry & they made changes. The second thing I'm not sure why you're bringing up their "societal issues" into the industry.
I only ask b/c I'm from the US and we have a lot of societal issues from recent mass shootings in one week, attacks on Black & East Asian Amerians in the US. However, none of that is being addressed in the industry - they're doing their own thing. Their thing is why didn't Lady Gaga get nominated for this or that. So I'm trying to figure out your point.
If you want historical accuracy go watch a documentary I guess? ?
I think you're being distinguly insensitve. Uh, a lot of Kdrama's respect & very meticulous about historal accuracy b/c of what they've experienced in their history. They're costumes show that.
No one watches for inaccuracies, I don't think that's what they're saying. They're saying people were annoyed when there were so many GLARINGLY obvious inaccuracies in Korean history. Furthermore, you need to understand Korean pride in their history & their relationship w/ China. Let me tell you I'm Haitian-American. If we're watching a historical soap opera based on our revolution & they distort the time of Christophe's rule w/ the French as though they were friends - I WOULD REVOLT. I'm excited by the drama. I'm ready for it & all the voodoo mysticism w/ Haiti & stuff. Then all of the sudden I have this side stuff of the French smiling w/ us -> wholly inaccurate. Unacceptable. This is probably the problem of the citizenry and I don't blame them.
I just hate when people just clomp all pinoy dramas together just b/c they're pinoy however I wouldn't really recommend those dramas. Just b/c they're pinoy & LGBTQ+ isn't enough for me. That's already marked. I should review this.
