As a note, I related to Detached than ANYTHING else. Detached is not a series but it's a film that I have watched so many times that each time it feels like a series b/c it builds on itself. However, it could be b/c I'm part of the community. The others are series.

I mentioned SOTUS in my original post if you noted and I think people aren't paying attention and it's starting to irritate me:

What are you saying to me here? You are overwhelmingly patronizing with your advice on a lakorn that will be forgotten in a hot minute. As I'm already sweating for MY DREAM The Series. This lakorn has about 3 more episodes to improve before I drop it officially.

No, it's not. Please. No, no, no. Thai, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Viet, Japanese, Taiwanese - BL's can all be recommended for each other. To me BL is BL. I don't need sex, kissing, hand holding, or I love you's to know that it's a BL.
AB is clearly BL - They had a sexual relationship - Xia Yao & Yaun Zong were seen sharing a bed & room together. Yaun Zong called Xia Yao baby. They said they loved each other. Peng Ze said he had oral sex with Li Zhen Zhen. This was similar to Beloved Enemy. People called it Bromance when it was clearly BL.
All the other countries are more visual in their dramas - excluding Korea which is the most homophobic since they don't have ANY BL. There were only 4 dramas w/ bl that I know of.
As far as films...China is a free for all. Their BL movies are badass crazy <- no pun intended.
Korea is also wild.
Taiwan makes to me some very quality BL, if they had the funding and could sell in the mainland - I think they would produce more. They are the ONLY, and of course, the first East Asian country to have same-sex marriage. WOOHOO! That starts in 2019. I love Taiwan. Yes, so if you couldn't tell. It was I who recommended Irresistible Love & A Round Trip to Love. IL's drama doesn't have rape, however the manhwa does have rape. ARTtL does.

TWM is not for everyone...I mean in my review I deemed the relationship to begin with rape, not love. I make up the .001% of the population that sees rape in what Korn did to Knock. But that's why I felt the story was good as the road to reconciliation and love was HARD as f**k! <--- subtextual themes. There are a lot of things to talk about and unpack there. I'm not getting that from LbC.

The Chinese don't have bromance. They have BL, people just want kissing, sex, hand holding ---- they interpret all that as BL. If people bothered to pay attention to the DIALOGUE and the scenes then they'd know that there is absolutely NO bromance there.

But that's the thing. People who pay attention and who care and aren't only about the fluff like them and get the bl. And those that don't, don't. I mean that's why Advance Bravely was so badass. I didn't need to see sex to know they were having sex all the time.

No they don't have a crazy psycho girlfriend --- they have a crazy psycho "boyfriend". Who knows...maybe the "crazy, psycho girlfriend" could show up for Ae...plenty of episodes still to come. Or for anyone else for that matter.

I sense no real chemistry between the characters that you seem to sense. Can is a great character the actor tries but his fellow actors aren't giving him back the same energy.

Yes, it is fair to compare these shows since they're placed as a recommendationn and even if they're not...we're looking simply at acting, flow, story (how interesting on a scale of 1-10 including rewatch value ; including character value); consistency.

I have nothing to say then. Wow...nothing to say. Love Sick was the one drama that actually opened the doors to all these other dramas. You do know that this drama has hijacked a great deal from LS that you don't like?! That includes their actors. However, that's neither here nor there.

The characters are not original. Not at all. Well if you take Pete and take him as a male sure he's very original - other than that he's any other DID. Ae is utterly and completely any other PC. I think is what actually bores me. I can deal with a Uke no problem...but I can't deal with one that's a DID for 1, 2, 3 ,4 episodes on top of the crap everything else.

Always...It's so damn frustrating. All the damn subbers are on the Korean stream and that country is mass producing generic unoriginal work. If it is "original," it "originally" came from Japan or China. It's so damn frustrating.

Seriously? That's good. CHOCOTv needs that boost. It's a very small tv production company and doesn't really have the money to make a lot of episodes. It has a difficult time getting sponsors for it's shows. It's even harder when people like us watch their dramas online and sub it. That means they don't get the stream numbers they need to get the revenue from online traffic. If Viki obtain licensing, they obtain a nice cut from the massive traffic the drama will get from the viewing - that doesn't count from the initial purchase. It's like buying a house and the paying mortgage. It's win win for the Bank and CHOCOTv is the bank.

I really need it to get the deal because it makes the best BL coming out of Taiwan and they promised us a BL they haven't delivered yet. Us History fanatics have been waiting for this BL for almost a year. I need this to come through. I need that TWdrama.

Pet Peeves...when someone recommends a lakorn or drama that actually doesn't match the story line of the show except that they have a gay couple. That's the ONLY thing that connects TWM with any of the above recommended BL lakorns/C-drama. The closest one is maybe Addicted: Heroin; but this is very shallow in comparison.

Have you seen Kiss Me Again or Kiss Me : The Series? I got through Kiss Me Again, because she wasn't the focus. I can't get through Kiss Me: The Series b/c she is one of the main couples. I' like who would I put in her place to get through this role...She even fits in better with the sisters.

From what I'm watching it's clear to me that Tee is the Seme and Mork is the Uke. This is without a doubt. Tee dominates and controls all aspects of the relationship. He even manipulates the relationship to the way he wants and he's the one who protects Mork as much as he can from everything.
