It was launched on Netflix in early February,& achieved great results immediately after its launch & the first domestic drama to reach the top 10 on Netflix's weekly list for 2 consecutive weeks at the beginning of the year, the first& only domestic drama to achieve this result since the beginning of this year.

In ep 6 (one of my favorites), Gujin told Ayin " The Demon Realm is just a name...People from the Demon Realm are not necessarily bad, people from the Immortal Clan are not necessarily good. All good and evil are judged by the human heart and should not be judged by which clan one was born into." They all have blinders. In my opinion, Gujin is not a simple character, he has layers and I hope you would understand him better in later episodes.

Each of them had to wait 1000 years for the other. Their love story is amazing from the beginning to the end.

There's a sweet kiss scene in ep 12, and 2 in ep 35. Ayin and Gujin's love story is one of the best for me, there're plenty of cute scenes. You should give it a try.

I love the ending. I looked up Pear Blossoms meaning in Chinese culture "Pear blossoms traditionally represent purity, love, and longevity in Chinese culture and are used as ornamental additions to centerpieces, bouquets, and flower arrangements. The delicate white flowers are often seen at weddings as a promise for a lasting, loving marriage and the hope of a new life." A new life for Feng Yin and Yuan Qi! I love the symbolism.

Yes, I read about it. She had back pain and WAY was so gentle with her during the lift. She lost sense of taste and hearing from one ear. TLI's filming was a tough period for Lusi, she lost her grandfather and two dogs during that time.

I don't usually rewatch a 40+ drama 4x, TLI is an exception because it stayed with me after my first watch then I rewatched and found it more interesting and meaningful. My favorite angst episodes are ep 23-27, I probably watched them at least 7 times. This drama has one of the best angsts in my opinion. My all time favorite is LLTG and I only watched it twice.

In ep 20, Gujin said " But I don't believe in fate, since Yin could defy fate and came out of her shell..." Willpower could change fate/destiny, you don't have to accept your fate as it is. That's a great message there. I don't want to say too much about ep 20 because of spoiler.

Hong Yi made mistakes too. He's a rebellious young man who didn't listen to his aunt and his actions caused what happened to her, she traded her life for his.

I love WAY's acting and I think he deserves more recognition for his portrayal of Gujin/Yuan Qi. He had very subtle expression and did not overact.
