I'm glad that you are finally watching TLI. I am not fond of Xianxia genre, my least favorite and didn't expect to love it that much and I rewatched it 3 times. The love story of Ayin and Gujin is my favorite, so pure and innocent.

You don't need to watch ALP first. TLI is a stand alone drama, for me, it was easy to follow the storyline even though I'm not familiar with Xianxia genre.

I hope to see them paired again in a modern drama, their photoshoots showed amazing and sizzling chemistry.

I find it interesting that TLI actually aired in Dec 2023. I don't know how they collect data for a drama that starts and ends in different years.

Feng Yin's dream in episode 35 is so bittersweet especially after what the couple had gone through. Hong Yi and Yuan Qi's heart to heart talk had me chuckling because it reminded me of LBY and Yuan Shen's talk in the final episode of LLTG.

The angst will come and it will hit you hard especially episodes 23-27, those are my favorites. I rewatched these episodes so many times, and the OSTs and lyrics added to the pain. Another thing, TLI gets better and better with each episode unlike other dramas that tend to fall flat midway through.

If you do not like it then don't force yourself. I am not a fan of Xianxia genre and TLI was the first drama that I finished watching without dropping like I had done with other more popular Xianxia dramas. We all have different likes and dislikes, and that's ok.

You'll see something developing soon, ep 6 is very sweet. Ayin realizes her feeling sooner than Gujin, but he's slowly getting there and by ep 10, he finally recognizes his feelings for Ayin might be deeper than previously. I actually love their romance storyline, it's based on friendship, understanding and mutual respect as time goes on.

I don't know the exact answer, but I think only popular dramas get aired. LLTG was aired on SK's AsiaN too if I remember correctly.

I am glad that you like it. This drama gets better with each episode with its depth and layers, and of course the acting, costumes etc...
