Hereâs the definition that I found of a Mary Sue : a type of female character who is depicted as unrealistically lacking in flaws or weaknesses. Nothing to do with the fact of being loved by everyone So JXN is definitely not a Mary Sue !

Well, itâs not because of Shen Jie, itâs for some political reason (iâm actually not entirely certain itâs Shen Jie) JXN gives her a bracelet that her (JXH) birth mom hoped to offer her for her wedding and she basically conveys her a few words from her mom JXH is first shocked but eventually throws the bracelet on the ground, breaking it into pieces. Letâs just say she doesnât feel much love for this selfish birth mom that she never knew and who did so much evil (plotted against the wife, gave up on her daughter, ruined the main wifeâs daughter, etc) so even after her death, she refuses to acknowledge her and grant her request (understandable) JXN says nothing (after all, all she had to do was give the bracelet, nothing else) and I think thatâs the last time they see each other
People must stop comparing Scent of Time to Kunning Palace because it is not similar at all, I saw another post…
Jiang Xue Ning, a Mary Sue ? đđđđ We must not have the same definition for Mary Sue⌠But apart from that, yeah, I agree, both works are different, especially the novels (SOT is very different from the original novel : the female lead doesnât go through rebirth but transmigrated as the villain character in a novel. So itâs really not her fault if her character did bad)
I really like Jiang xueningâs sister Jiang xuehui! Iâm really hoping she doesnât turn evil or anything!I…
In the novel, she doesnât turn evil But she kinda has a pitiful fate. If I recall correctly, she becomes the crown princeâs concubine I remember that their mom unfairly blames this on the female lead, saying that her bad reputation somehow impacted her sisterâs (and Xie Wei kinda puts her back in her place by pointing out how biased and unreasonable she is)
Se Hyeok and his family get on my last nerves!! Why do they want to use Yi Joo so damn badly? Everyone knows Se…
Well, I think itâs because they want to take advantage of the Han familyâs wealth anyway and Yi Joo is the easiest and only way for them. Yes, they know that the one he loves is her sister but letâs be realistic : from the beginning, Yoo Ra was clearly out of his league and they knew it. Letâs not mention that she clearly doesnât even see him as an equal or a potential partner, even if she had somehow been into him, her parents would never have settled for a driverâs son who can only be a minion for the rich and powerful. They were okay with him being with Yi Joo because they saw Yi Joo as an inferior and thought she could only settle for this much but Yoo Ra is another story. And his mother and sister knew all of that. If they thought he could get Yoo Ra, who has a better standing in her family, then they probably wouldnât care. But just like Yi Jooâs family considered her ex to be her best shot, her exâs family considered Yi Joo to be his. Both families clearly thought their respective kid didnât have the ability to find someone better. And well, in the exâs case, theyâre right
Seems pretty impossible to me, I mean Ken was just⌠WowâŚBut honestly, a remake seems unlikely to me unless…
Okay, I mostly enjoyed Prasad Meud Dung Sawan Sarb and Dao Pra Sook not so much : letâs just say that I tend to strongly dislike thai lakorns that involve rape between the leads. Dung Sawan Sarbâs remake was okay but i didnât like how the female lead started to suspect the male lead Prasart Meud however is different : letâs just say that the story has a gothic aspect, kinda like Jane Eyre. I also like the purity of the male leadâs feelings for the female. All three versions are good, in very different ways. i tend to prefer the 3rd one because it focuses on the mysterious and scary atmosphere and this is one of the rare lakorns where the actor got plays a male lead (he usually plays villains) and heâs super good at it !

Kinda hope itâs true âcause Iâm a huge fan of his (nothing against Lin Geng Xin)

Itâs a remake of another old lakorn that does look a lot like Pan Ruk Pan Rai
