Remember the final fight between Shen Zhen and Ruining ? After Shen Zhen pushed her from the balcony and Ye Miao tried to help her up, SZ is about to hit him with a stone which would kill them both he and RN, but she eventually retracts and helps RN up in a weird mood swing. But in the novel, she doesn’t retract. She’s determined to kill him both & RN to protect her secret but YM’s mom comes in and pushes her from the balcony, killing her on the spot and saving RN & YM. The truth being revealed about how YM’s mom killed RN’s mom, YM’s mom goes to jail. When RN goes to see her in jail, she refuses to see her but conveys her apologies. RN decides to forgive because she understands over the last years, YM’s mom has been as unhappy as anyone (SZ blackmailing her must not have helped). It is then strongly implied that she & YM end up together
It’s not a novel ; it’s actually a compilation of folklore tales and short stories without any relation to da h other I think the drama mainly compiled all of these stories and adapted these to make it a whole drama
Is this drama boring ? . It doesn't get much popularity or viewers in mdl
It’s not boring at all But it’s about themes that usually don’t attract much viewership (nowadays, viewers mostly want romance, ancient costume, revenge, melodrama…) A drama like this which is about the reality of the theatre and show business industries, and the learning of acting, without trying to romanticize or glamorize it, doesn’t correspond to the usual trend
Huh. I would have preferred Wan Peng but Bai Lu is also fine for me ! (not because I like her better than Bai Lu : I like them both the same way but I just think WP usually gets less opportunities, and BL on the other hand is certain to always get opportunities)
Are Luo Xia and He Shui having an affair? She said to Luo, "Does she know about US?" I would never have suspected…
Luo Xia and He Shui do not have an affair NOW. They used to date and she’s using that to blackmail him into giving her the part, saying that if he doesn’t, she will lie that they were together when she was still married and that he was the reason why she got divorced, which is not true but would ruin his career if this was to be believed
I agree with you. I can no longer stand this actress now. What annoys me most is that there are some people who blame us for defending him, saying « how can you defend the jerk and blame the victim » and refuses to understand that even though we don’t approve of what he did, we just think it should have stayed in the private sphere, that the Chinese entertainment should stop mixing private life and career, and that we blame his ex-girlfriend because she definitely knew the unfair consequences there would be and went on. We just love the actor, and don’t care what he does as long as it’s not illegal so it’s unfair that his private life impacts his career and it was a bitchy move from her to use such an unfair rule to get revenge but some people can’t understand that (honestly ? Seems to me that those people were cheated on themselves and still suffer from bitterness)
Just read the novel… Wow, that was a hard ride ! (the second half of the novel where you learn of the female lead’s past and when you see the garbages who hurt her being punished… WOW.) (To anyone watching the drama in the future without having read the novel : prepare your tissues !)

They totally kept it low-key !
I wonder if his character will be in love with Mookda’s ?

I wanna see Ma Xin Yu !

It could have been good, honestly… because the original material is far from being that bad
