Title Lost You Forever Spoiler
We got a lot of the MLs jealousy this week.. if looks could kill 😂😂
Strangely, I don't bear slightest hatred towards him despite what he's done to XY. Maybe because I think he's the most troubled, conflicted amongst the lads and considering his early beginning and promises made w XY, adds w the burden he carries throughout, somehow I could see how hard it is for him to letgo XY (compared to XL) and for once, to ask something he wants for himself. If only he's a realist like XL, then he wouldn't have resorted into doing the unthinkable 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, in retrospect, I think his ending gets the shortest end of the stick. At least XL resigns to his fate out of his own volition, gets the honour of a soldier and bids farewell to XY (in his own way) but CX...there's this lingering feeling. I like him as a character, nonetheless hahahah.

I rooted for Jing, and my heart bled an ocean for Xiang Liu. But, it was the many scenes between XY and CX that got me gripping my phone real tight. Their scenes were the most intense, emotionally-charged and heartbreaking to read, especially as we get deeper into the story. ZWY's Xuan is exactly as I imagined and I don't know if I'm prepared at all to see it coming into life :(((

My brain and expectations went into hibernation mode as I rallied up whatever left of my resolution to finish this show. I benched this for a while because even LYX couldn't ceaselessly keep me plastered on the screen. Overall, this project is a huge bummer. The styling was unnecessarily excessive (especially starting Jing arc), the evil schemes felt like a sham and disingenuous (IDK I felt none; no hatred, no annoying side-eyes. Nada) and I have so much questions on Jize & Pang Yizhi. I give this 8.5 for LYX alone but it doesn't give me much payoff either :( I wished there are more layers to LSS character because she's downright plain. Sometimes I think I'm comparing this too much with LFBAD (which surprised me in regard to character development/plot progression).

Title The Blood of Youth Spoiler
I almost get teary eyed from Mr. Mu's ending speech in 23rd ep. Bro, I think you're equally poetic as Wuxin. Also, why there are SO MANY cool characters?! State Preceptor's brief stint and Baili Dongjun's badassery – I wonder what it's like during their prime years. On that note, I kinda feel sorry for Sikong Changfeng. It seems that the rest of Xueyue Lords collectively agreed to trust (a.k.a shoulder) him on the matter of Xueyue City (I still can't get over the scene where he cries over the destruction of his precious Dengtian Tower. I wonder what he's like during a fight). 23 episodes in, it's about time to fangirl over Tang Lian too. Man, he's obviously offended when LWJ mentioned there's not much difference between him and Mo Yi but a good boy Tang Lian just dismissed it lol. His shifu is right, he's a rock. But an adorable rock. And LWJ, that boy will keep on charging forward for (the good of others) as long as he still breathes, no matter the outcome. So admirable even though a bit worrying and reckless. Really, proves it further why he's my most favourite amongst them all hahahah. Another thing, I don't know why I find it funny to see Mickey He casted as Mo Yi. XX chromosome really is his Achilles Heels 😂.

Despite their numbered scenes together, LHY and ZYZ were mesmerising and convincing as CP. They got me rooting and looking forward to their reunion. Sigh. It was good while it lasted and I hope potential romance between LWJ and YRY is nearly as beautiful as theirs (although 'beautiful' is hardly a suitable adjective to be used on LWJ lols). Also, I'm glad Wu Xin is actively back into martial world! I surely missed his candid yet humorous remarks. Perfect balance to his best buddy, Xiao Se's snarky comments.

Title Silent Spoiler
The scene where they exchange flowers and appears to be understanding of each other despite an absolute absence of sound between them whilst train rushes in — that was something to take in. If put in the same situation, people with hearing abilities won't be able to seamlessly manage a conversation because of the noise. The least we can do is gauging from gestures but frankly, most of us would ultimately pause and wait till the buzz dissipates. Guess that's the beauty of their relationship and one thing we may have been completely oblivious to/or looked as a form of difficulty or in negative light. And the flashbacks of them empty-whispering, and now they're doing it too — it proves that sound isn't all that is in relationship. Differences are meant to be understood and bridged in when needed. And the flowers, not sure what they're supposed to symbolise, but imo it looks like an attempt to put an end on unresolved feelings or a settlement. Like I'm giving this piece of you I've been holding and let's close this chapter and open another, shall we? Anyhow, solid 9.5/10 for me. Missing 0.5 because idk what's the deal between Hikaru and Minato. More like, what's Hikaru thoughts on Minato lol.

If you liked HanaDan, chances are you're gonna like this as well. Thyme's mannerism/dynamic is very similar to Matsujun's Tsukasa. As well as Ren who gives off Rui's vibes. And so far, I find Gorya likeable to a point (as I did with Tsukushi Makino). But if you preferred BOF, then 2018 MG is way to go — these versions are the mildest in terms of abuse although, I remembered an unpleasant scene in 18' MG that followed OG MG. Word of warning though, Jandi and 18' Shancai are pretty much the main source of annoyance. OG MG imo, is the most volatile of all and I wouldn't rec to anyone who wants to start checking other adaptations. OG Daoming Si is simply a whole different breed of anger issues — man is straight up unstable. Thyme wouldn't hold a finger to him. In HanaDan, you'd see Tsukasa mellowing out so if they're taking cues from this version, then hopefully we'll see Thyme undergoes growth. Overall, I like the characterisation and dynamic of this F4 the most, after HanaDan. OG Lei was sort of gloomy, Jihu seemed lowkey depressed and insecure, 18' Lei was bland but Hanazawa Rui — that man embodied the arts of "don't mind me, I've got no business with you" and as Makino said, he's the White Knight. He's calm, compassionate and the wisest (next to Akira). Honestly, I could talk more lol.

Title Through the Darkness Spoiler
I just watched 2 first episodes of it and already in loved. So it is the legit korean version of Mindhunter, huh?…
Mindhunter S1 low-key had me all paranoid, especially the season finale. S2 was meh but S1 was stellar throughout. I don't think I could prefer one to another as it's vastly different in terms of approach and interesting that you deemed it technical as I didn't get that at all! Thought it was very comprehensive. With the gory scenes, Agent Ford's numerous prison visits and all. That being said, I equally liked Agent Ford and Inspector Ha Young. So far, it's good and I simply hope the quality won't dwindle.

Title Because of Love Spoiler
At this rate, Wallace Chung has fully mastered giving passionate and somewhat forceful kiss whilst crying. He had similar scene with Sun Yi. Probably with Tang Yan too. Not sure if he had it with Seven as well. I couldn't recall. But that bathroom scene omg you can almost feel Yusheng's anguish. And the kiss at hotel, that's just sad. Sad. Sad. I feel for both of them. From ep15-16 trailer, seems like TJ will start opening up but that door/balcony scene with YS sobbing down and clutching TJ's robe to YS on bed, grasping TJ's hand to embrace her AND shedding tears at the same time — my heart :( My guy Fangting also gotta stop giving mixed signals to best girl Shuqin. She may be a cool, independent woman but gal has feelings too. She shouldn't be toyed :((( And please give main role to Wayne Wang. I've seen him plenty — he's definitely ML material. Ugh.

The conversation between FN and JN at the end of eleventh episode is intriguing indeed and really prompts you to vet FN. JN is both forthright in her intention and manner and doesn't strike as person who would dwell on emotions. I especially liked they included the funeral scene and we see young JN comforting FN and seemingly has (somewhat, because older JN has shown to be reeling on her past in few scenes. Which is OK) accepted her country/family's tragedy. We still don't know what drives JN to kill (more like to hurt) FN and perhaps it has something to do with the tragedy but JN doesn't appear to be wanting FN dead either. Back to the conversation, it makes you think there's something we haven't been told yet about Xu Family and if possessing North Liang has done severe damage to them. FN's resoluteness to not inherit North Liang/Army and how he explicitly thinks by succeeding, he'd have to see people dying and yet when JN fires back, it feels like, FN deep down knows it's inevitable either way and by taking over, he could at least lessen it somehow. But he's adamant with his decision which propels me to think their mother's death is likely closely related with North Liang/Army imo and he's scarred. I'd thought she died giving birth to Huangmang'er or something but seeing her as the absolute pillar to FN during Dahuangting transferral, it just makes sense. I'm really enjoying this drama. There's a lot to unpack and I love that we learn FN isn't the boss of Xu Family lol. Really looking forward to see his dynamic with Weixiong and what's up with the ~sexual tension~ between her and Zhibao!!! On the flip side, I still can't see ZRY romancing TS >< That riding scene, albeit short, I can't see it. I mean they're possibly not the endgame and am trying to give benefit of doubt. But the side characters giving side eyes is making this difficult to unsee ><

The way they film the scenes are a bit..odd? haha. The dialogue is also odd. Seems like alot of cut and paste…
Noticed that too! IMO I think it's the storyboard/screenplay here needs bit of TLC. Like the brothel scene and eventual revelation of JN's identity — the correlation is there but it's filmed so simply with little regards on seamlessness and of course it turns out choppy! I've seen till sixth episode and here to report, it doesn't hinder me from tuning in incoming episodes. I'm enjoying it plenty. Just gotta look past the overall smoothness, if you will.

no please no...it should be someone better than both of them other wise I will feel sad that she left babi
Are you referring to casting or the character? If the latter, I'm not sure what gives you the impression but I actually adored Soonrok and rooted for his relationship with Yumi. Which means Yumi is better off with him and that's enough to say about Soonrok (but I'd like to chip in that their dynamic is equal a.k.a they're perfect for each other. Yumi to Soonrok. Soonrok to Yumi). And trust me, you'll understand and empathise with Yumi in regards to her separation with Babi.

Whoever casted Anh Bo-Hyun and Jinyoung — that's spot on. Jinyoung came up first when I read about Babi and while I didn't think of Ahn Bo-Hyun then, he proves to fit the bills — he's Ku Woong down to his tanned skin and carries -I'm prideful but surprisingly sentimental and has boyish innocence to boot- to a T! I wonder who's gonna play Soonrok. I thought of Ahn Hyo-Seop but playing a character with dual personalites can be tricky, especially Soonrok's low power mode — could come off as extremely cold if overdid (as opposed to say, "uninterested" or slight indifference). I liked both Woong and Soonrok lots, so here's to perfect casting!
