Tbh, even I loved both seasons, I agree with you. They could have done better, especially in the romance department. Like, all the misunderstandings the couples had could have been resolved in a matter of seconds if only they had talked to each others.
I nearly got angry with the development they gave to Kim Jun Wan and Lee Ik Soon and I'm still wondering what the heck was that. It was so childsh I almost believed those episodes were a fever dream and it kind of ruined the characters a bit for me.
Even so, I enjoyed this second season and the first one will always be one of my favorite drama ever.

The plot doesn't inspire me much, but with this cast? Hell yeah I'm watching this. Also the poster is kind of cool? Love it.

I would be too heartbroken if at the end the two of them won't have an happy ending...
I'm already so sad for Qiao'er and worried for RuFeng and ShuFang, I don't think I can take more tragedy than this...

I swear if they don't give Shen Cui Xi and Wei Liang Gong an happy ending I'm going to riot.

This guy surely knows how to pick his drama scripts. And meanwhile he managed to become a wonderful actor. Prop to him, I'm looking forward his future works.

Ya the casting is sick and the plot seems promising. Just six episodes tho? Is it a netflix production?

It's a bit confusing, so I think they will explaining it properly with the next episodes, but from what I've understood it looks like the ML mother was in love with that young man with glasses who she hugs in her memories and she had a daughter with him.
Then something bad must have happened because we see the ML mother pregnant (with our ML I believe) trying to kill herself jumping from a bridge. I think this it's where she lost her memories.
Not sure about her connection with old detective Han and why are they in a car together or about the fire (maybe she was the wife of one of the victims of the old chimera case but idk yet it's just speculation).

So, we've seen that Cha Jae Hwan's mother is remembering her past. And it looks she had a daughter with a young man with glasses who definitely isn't old detective Han. So we can say that Cha Jae Hwan has a sister, but now where is she? Also why Cha Jae Hwan's mother tried to commit suicide? So many question...

Also I'm really curious about the fireman's role in all of this. It seems he's the one who's repeating the Chimera murders, but why? Argh, I'm so curious!

For real, I thought I missed one episode... I understood how Liang Gong ended up working for Cui Xi thanks to some of the flashback in the later episodes, but it was confusing as heck. I don't understand why they had to edit that part out tho.

Is Wei Liang Gong also going to fall in love with Zeng Bao Qin? I have nothing against her (I quite like her actually) but I just wish that someone would give all his love to our Shen Cui Xi... She deserves to find happiness and have someone that can love her fully (and I don't think her husband will be ever capable of that).

I know how much competitive is the academic's environment in Asia, but it's really sad to realize that what I see in kdrama or cdrama is actually an accurate representation of reality.

I forgotten to say this, but I really really love their ost' choice. Especially the ending ost! I don't know who's singing, but they surely do have a beautiful voice!

A thing that I won't ever understand is why tf in korean dramas parents are always so obsessed with their kids to be the best at school even at the cost of sacrificing their health and happiness. Is it really like this in real life too? Why would even you do such a thing to your own child?
And the school's corruption... I wish I could say that it's not realistic at all, but hell I heard and saw too much to believe that. So yep it's probabily exaggerated, but it's still a thing.

I just wish they could leave more screentime to our leads because I'm loving seeing their interactions and I can't wait to learn more about Seung Yoo.
Also their love for math is just so... pure, in a way that makes me want to cry. I would love if they showed mathematics theorems a little more in depths, but I understand that this drama has to be approachable even for those who aren't experts.
Anyway, Lee Do Hyun and Im Soo Jung are amazing as always in portrait their roles and I'm enjoying this very much!

For the romance between the leads I believe it will happen after the four years break mentioned in the summary and thus four years after teacher Yoon Soo was accused (falsely I hope) of having a sexual relationship with Seung Yoo (like we saw at the beginning of episode 1).
So at that point they will both be adults and I don't think they will be teacher and student again because it's likely that Seung Yoo will have already graduated from university (it seems he's in the last year of high school right now).
If things go as I think, I have no problem at all with their relationship and I'll enjoy this drama very much!

Also as a math major I'm so envious of our FL, she seems to genuinely love math.
I hope this drama will help me to find my love for math again, because right now I ended up hating what I'm studying and it honestly hurts.

The school's sistem sucks, but an university that integrates math with liberal art? A dream.

Do we have some hope for this or should we give up since the new regulations? I'm so sad I was looking forward this drama so much...

I can't believe my favorite actors from Yanxi Palace are finally acting together again and!!! As the main couple!!

It's been three years since I watched this and I'm still salty about YingLuo and FuHeng not ending up together (yeah I know it would have been impossible for the story to end like that but still).
Do I hate the Emperor? No.
Do I think that YingLuo didn't lived happily after marring him? Neither.
Do I still believe FuHeng would have been a better match for YingLuo and that she truly loved him? Yes. And I hate the fact that I could only dream about them as a real couple.
