Another wondeful scene was the conversation in the truck they had at the end of the episode: the simmering anger beneath the saddness in Kaye's eyes and the bitterness in his voice... Must say, I don't care one bit about the killer, but Kaye's story? I'm hanging around mostly because I find his character really fascinating.
Plus this left me with a certain wish to see Dew play a villain soon or later lmao, that coldness in his eyes when the Inspector asked Kaye why he drew Nekros had me gasping.
Dew's acting after Kaye see the victim's body damn now that was fucking good. The paralising terror, horror, the disgust morphing into panic... Now that's a believable reaction of someone who never saw a brutalised crime scene.
Didn't expect this to be good, but I ended up binge watching all the episodes in one night (currently it's 4am lol).
It's very entertaining and the acting is top-notch, literally stellar performances from everyone, especially the senior cast. The plot is constructed quite nicely for a supernatural horror (even if a bit predictable) and the special effects are pretty good, I even liked the stylistic choices (more roughed up costumes and realistic make-up, dirt and blood if needed in the scenes) and the camera work wasn't bad (used a few smart tricks to cover sensitive issues) even if the route they took to adjust the action/fights scenes was a bit questionable at times.
Have to say I loved the main characters and got invested in their gruff friendship immediately. I may be the odd one out, but I was glad there's was no romance, since I prefer them as platonic soulmates; their relationship is definitely build up on the trust and care they have for each other (but if you wanna ship them, the chemistry is there so dw).
Strongly recommend to give this drama a try if you like The Guest or Kingdom. Solid 8.5/10 for me.
Like it's never a a real triangle with these shows it's ALWAYS a V. Mainstream media has robbed ppl of the chance…
Right?? Love triangles can be so fun when they're done right, but apparently directors are allergic to sprinkle the little bit of queerness necessary to make things intriguing ðŸ˜
I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but I knew we'd get angst eventually judging by the clips from the trailer. I'm…
Yes, I guess our tastes are pretty similar 😆 Also count me guilty about Yilun, he just won me over drama after drama (plus liu yan is probably one of his prettiest character to date, I just had to have this scene as my pfp, I mean that smile? Wow).
I agree on everything you said, but I'm commenting only to say: I loooove your profile pic and your FMV on Bai…
Yeah their bromance was the highlight of that drama! And also the reason I'm gonna check out Shadow Punisher when it's gonna be released, since they're the leads again 😂
FoF had me mourning for weeks 😠I totally agree with you, Bai Jiu and Ying Lei were such a breath of fresh air as characters, I immediately adopted them as favorite, just to have my heart broken to pieces by the end of the drama, I honestly had to make that FMV to cope with the pain ðŸ˜
Yes! I also watched MJTY after FoF and now I'm watching BoP, so I'm kinda following Lester Lin grow as an actor and he's only getting better! Since Bai Jiu, I will always have a soft spot for him so I'm glad to see he's getting more and more recognition.

Wasn't expecting a comment about this on a drama page, but omg thank you?? This really means a lot to me, thank you so much, Bai Jiu is one of my favorite character ever ðŸ˜ðŸ’œ

Oh, it's you!! We are always watching the same dramas aren't we 😂 But also yeah I need to prepare those tissues cause even if this get a happy ending, it will be a hard won one ðŸ˜
I would prefer for this to have no romance, but if they must then I can accept a love triangle only if they won't give us two people in love with the same person. I need a REAL triangle duh I want A to be in love with B who actually likes C, but C has eyes only for A. Give me something like this and I'll be fine with it 😂
For everyone who wanted the angst, well it's coming ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I honestly don't know from what episode those spoilers are (I watched until ep 24 as they get release on kisskh bc I can't watch it in any other way) and I didnt want to spoil myself further. If you want to know exactly what I saw, I can tell you, but if you're also on xiaohongshu we probably saw the same things 🥲
Between Hong going to Shaoshang's university just to clear his reputation and our young master complimenting the inspector behind his back (little girl thank you for spilling the tea 😂), these two eps were full of precious moments 🥺
during that whole scene they kept doing focus shots of hong's hands. they were def trying to convey something
I think our poor boy was just overwhelmed by his own emotions: after all the stress for his mother's death and the case he got pulled out from, it's clear he was very moved by Shaoshang's words (Hong was admiring Shaoshang like our boy is the sun incarnated ðŸ˜), plus I don't think he was expecting to have his hand held and he doesn't seem someone who get physical affection often tbh.
To me (since I see this as a censorship bl story) I see that scene as the moment Hong kinda realises that his feelings for Shaoshang are different from simple friendship and camaraderie. But this is my personal interpretation!
Dew's acting is getting better everytime I see him, so props to him. Neo is also doing a wondeful job in his role, he's just one of those magnetic actors, you can't help but look at him everytime he's on screen. Tee's acting is good enough to no get me out of the story. Shout out to the girls, Prim and especially to Praew, cause I'm enjoying their scenes a lot actually.
The story is not building the thriller aspect well enough unfortunately - even if I'm curious about the killer, I don't feel a rush to get and think about their motives and who is gonna be the next, how are they gonna choose their victims. Idk I guess what's missing is the sense of urgency of the overll situation.
Also I'm not even gonna pretend Inspector Phat isn't already smitten with Kay cause that's just plain obvious and the scriptwriters can go and eat that 'b' out of bromance lmfao like bfr now.
