In ep 2 while they have to rush to the hospital bc the car isn't working. The instrumental they used was clearly Bella Ciao or it inspired by the song. I recognised it immediately but that's bc I'm Italian.
It won't really effect my perception of the drama, but I found it to be a bit of an odd choice.

Also the constant bickering between the brothers is funny as hell. The youngest joking about being truly open minded while undergoing a open-brain surgery sent me lmfaoo 😂

Idk why they choose to use the instrumental of Bella Ciao (which is a partisan song) for a semi-comedy scene, but everything else is actually really well made. This drama is more on the realistic, almost sombre, side and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought.

I was intrigued since everyone kept talking about Dong Min, so I went to watch his season of The Genius Game and holy hell now I understand.

Watching ep 5 and god lord Dong Min and Hyun Min are SCARY bro that was an insane strategy I have goosebumps 😭

The whole exchange between A Chou, Consort Li and the Empress Dowager was so freaking funny lmfaooo it's a shame Consort Li and our FL are on opposite sides bc they would be unstoppable together, they are both such amazing women 😌

Tbh I do think it's the writers job to make characters interesting even if they aren't the main focus. That's why I'm bringing this up, but I'm in no way complaining about it being a women oriented drama lol I started it precisely for this reason.

I'm on ep 10 and by now I can say that sadly in this drama the men characters are absolutely dull af, but at least the women are incredible. They really do make the whole story.

Also I'm sorry but why does A Chou have better chemestry with the young general Qi than her husband 😭

(and Jundai + Han Liao made quite a pair lmfaoo tbh it would have been fun to see them work together 😂)

Honestly the childish behaviour of most the young noble ladies make sense since they're like what, eighteen max? They are all spoiled teenagers 😮‍💨

Probably a little less, since the Wei family had 5 days to prepare for the wedding. If you put the time the aunt had to find A Chou is probably around 4.5 days at best.

But even if they were 5 FULL days, it's still kinda of a stretch for someone to, like I said, unlearn all their mannerisms to then memorise and get familiar to someone's else way to walk, talk and move to the point that nobody even suspect you came from a whole different social class.

I just find it hard to believe, but like I said, it's not something that will stop me enjoy to story. Everything in this drama is a bit overdramatised and I do really like every actresses (and their performances) in here, so I don't really care that much lol.

She's smart and a quick learner, yes, we can see that with how she reacts to unexpected situations. I have no iusses with that.
But well, unlearning ~18ish years of habits and quirks to then learn a whole different way to talk, walk and move in less than five days it's a bit unbelievable.

You have to turn off your brain a little to enjoy this properly (how did a-chou learn noble etiquette and mannerisms so quickly?), but if you start watching this drama with the makjang mindset on, it's gonna be a banger lmfao.

First episode was crazyyyy. Watching Xi Wei playing Wei Rao was an experience lmfao I was both scared and turned on at the same time 😂

nope, you can ship them if you like since they do love to match outfits, but they don't end up together and don't really have any official romantic moment.
