At first, I didn't understand why everyone was singing praises about this drama, but after finished it... Christ. It's psychologically terrifying. A true "birth of a villain" kind of story and it's so subtle that one almost doesn't realize it until the last five seconds of the show. Then, after that scene, every little change in Chao Yang's behavior that I found strange and unsettling, but didn't really give it much thought thinking I was just hypersensitive, it all made sense. I really don't know how I'm gonna recover from this honestly.
I'm sad it ended, but I must say I couldn't be happier for Dr. Do, I adore that man and he deserves to be happy. Seeing how much he loves and cares for his wife really make me want to have a partner like him shsh and I just now that he'll spoil their baby girl treating her like a little princess!
I watched all the episode in one day, finished right now and I'm still kind of shell-shocked. Man, this was heavy. It's wonderfully done and I honestly recommend this to everyone. It's not an easy watch, but it makes you think a lot about the military and mandatory leverage. It's almost heartbreaking, especially because the cast and the writers did a splendid job to portray such part of the society (the two minutes after last episode's credits just smashed my heart in pieces and I was already sobbing).
The two main actors were so good at playing their characters and I did get attached to them really quickly (particularly considering that the whole serie is just six episodes). I also want to know what happened to Han Ho Yul (gosh I really fell in love with him) in the past, cause they mention something about a deserter that hurt him and escaped, but they never devolve on it. Kind of hoping in a season two, even if I don't think we'll get it.
So many things to say about the 2 eps from this week.About Ahran, she's despicable and did awful things, but I…
I agree with you almost on everything. Especially about Bujeong and Jeongsu's relationship, like they're just bad for each other. While Jeongsu isn't clearly the most tactful person I've ever seen and his reactions to Bujeong's depression are a bit off, he try to make an effort here and there (tbh the only thing he should really do is to keep his mother from meddling in his relationship, cause damn that woman is stressing af). But then we have Bujeong who, even if it seems that she want a paceful relationship, just doesn't talk to him at all, she doesn't want to confide in him and lied about what actually happened to her a year ago; I mean, I know she's hurt, desperate and probably she has her reasons to shut him out, but she also has her fault in how their relationship is progressing. They just have a very big issue with communication that it doesn't seems to be fixable. So, yeah, they should just divorce and I fervently hope that Bujeong will free herself from him before engaging with Gangtae emotionally or physically (idk I really don't like cheating). About the husband I'm not really sure if he already cheated on her in the past or not, so...
Can't wait for tomorrow. Today's episode was just as good, if not better, as the previous ones. This drama is really... Human, we could say. It feels almost personal and I found myself on the verge of tears more than once.
No but Sang Yi was so cute, he was eating with such pleasure shsh he also fits very well with the cast (it was kind of adorable to see Sang Yi and Sang Yeob be so close with each other). It was really a fun episode, I want to have him join the show again~
This is a little gem. It reminds me more of a film than a drama, it has a dark vibe but it somehow resonate with me in a very emotional way, especially with this music's choice. It will be a sad and painful ride, but it surely looks promising.
they are in a fake fantasy drama 🙄😠lmaoo just enjoy it and not over analyze so much
Why can't I analyze it? It's my way to enjoy a story to analyze the plot and the characters, to understand what's happening and why. I'm just saying that the dialogues and the interactions between the two children weren't really convincing for me, it did not look natural. But if you liked those scenes, then I'm happy for you!
I almost cried with them when they were at the second place, tbh fake or not having your friends literally screaming words of encouragement and comfort for you it can be considered as a form of therapy.
Yeah, the kiss scene was absolutely unnecessary and made it overly dramatic.
For real, like they met two hours ago?? And they're nine?? A hug would have been so much better. All the child actors' scenes were written a bit too much dramatic to be played by children. Maybe it could have worked out if they were teenagers.
First episode was kind of a letdown, especially all those presumably "romantic" scenes between the two child actors, like just why. They're literally playing 9 years old children and those scenes were a bit too dramatic, it just felt fake and we're in a /fantasy/ drama.
The second episode was way better than the previous one. For now, I like both of the leads and the royal court's intrigues seem interesting. I appreciate that here finally we have a female lead that has male bestfriends who aren't in love with her and I find Chung Ki funny, she's determined, fierce and knows her value (also she kind of doesn't have manners, but it's understandable). I'm already fond of Ha Ram cause I've a soft spot for characters who appear always calm and collected, but are actually the masterminds behind every scheme.
Ya in this week episode Jessi and Sang Yeob were so cute shsh also Ji Hyun waaa she's really good at games and such she was having so much fun and fitted so well with all the cast 🤣
This week episode was everything I asked for. Especially the focus on Dr. Do and his wife's story touched me a lot, I really can't watch Dr. Do crying without tearing up myself, I just really love his character. We got a lot of development for our current couples (finally Minha got a date, I can't wait to see the two of them together) and I'm glad that our winter garden couple were able to talk to each other about Gyeo's situation and how Jung Won comfort her in a very soothing way.
Also omg our main five look so GOOD in these rock-leather outfits, I enjoyed the song so much, Ik Jun sings so well, gosh.
This drama is not bad, but the "romantic" scenes between Jung Oh and Sang So made me so uncomfortable that I had to skip all of them. Also the way Sang So's mother behave with Jung Oh is as insufferable as Sang So attitude, just leave the poor girl alone gosh.

I'll need to prepare myself psychologically ðŸ˜

Also Ik Jun and Song Hwa kissing! HELL YEAH AFTER TWO SEASONS WE MADE IT

The fantasy special affects are decent and cinematography is good, it's too soon to be able to say anything about the storyline (if not that they really put too much in ep 1), but if there's one thing that bothers me is the cliché romantic scenes (that part in the palaquin, gosh... I had to stop myself to roll my eyes).
So, until now for me it's a 8/10, we'll see how it goes.
