The other ghosts are just ghosts with unfulfilled wishes, staying in the real world on Cha Woong's spiritual energy.…
Basically a spirit is a spirit because it has a set goal to complete. The ghosts are just supposed to move on, they have no mission given to them by the heavens. In this case, CCW has MADE the ghosts his helpers becsuse of what they can do. They are originally just supposed to go with the Grim Reaper, but CCW is anchoring them to earth with his energy. General Choi isn't supposed to go wth Grim Reaper until he completes his mission.
Serious respect to the entire production team and cast. All those who played dual roles in the past and present did sooooo well. You feel like they're the same person but slso not the same person XD
Jin Ki Joo and Park Hae Jin express emotions like there's no tomorrow. JKJ's crying, the adorably hilarious fangirl who is also a brave, strong, determined Princess. Park Hae Jin's elegance, honesty and intensity, looking hella cool with his super powers... the slight smile betraying deep affection, the desperate, intense love.
Kim Jong Hoon as Seo Hee Sop(yes, I finally took the time to search up the actor LOL). I dislike the character but the actor... I though he was stiff and boring at first but boy was I wrong. The new twist in the plot is opening up a whole new avenue of versatility for him. Gave me the chills with that transformation.
The artistic VFX and the very well-done makeup and costumes. The historical arc was a treat to watch, and it has only increased my repect for the actors" versatility. I'm in awe.
The new CCW is not CCW. It is him thinking he is Poong Baek 2000 years later and he sees Seul Hae as the princess.…
He doesn't even seem to be Poong Baek. It's like he's combined the worst traits of Poong Baek and CCW to make a new weirdo. Poong Baek was elegant, calm and cool. CCW was a dramatic adorably awkward guy pretending to be a jerk. This... this new CCW is neither. He's traded his high and mighty dramatic present self for Poong Baek's low self-view due to his lowborn ancestry. I mean... he's lost that bashful pride he used to have and I don't ry like the change. Poong Baek was shy in love but he's taken CCW's clumsy over-the-top expressions of love, only this time with added misplaced intensity from Poong Baek and no pride to stop him. It's all kind of messy and I just want the fluffy jerk back.
Is it just me, Ko Seul Hae and the ghosts who want the old dramatic dumbass CCW back? He was hella cool as Poong Baek but I don't really like this new modern version... the comedy has been significantly toned down, except for CCW's over the top courting - and I'm just a little weirded out. It's funny, yes, but this isn't who Seul Hae and I fell for. I can't say it's an "upgrade". He's being plain weird and I totally feel for Seul Hae. I was hoping for just slight subtle character development, not personality fusing with an added spoonful of dark seriousness. The old CCW was just awkwardly adorable in his flirting. This is full-blown uncomfortable for me.
I understand that the stakes are now higher and the thrilling arc has taken the lead now, but honestly, I miss the outrageously adorable romcom it used to be. Feels like I'm watching a two-part series.
Not saying I don't like the historical arc or the current twists and developments... I love the whole story but I really just want the old CCW back. Poong Baek was amazing in his own life and CCW's dorky jerk self was adorable in the present. Not really liking the fusion and sudden seriousness + seriously cringey courting scenes. The embroidery was funny but he's starting to go overboard now, IMO. Maybe I should slowly change the gears in my brain and enjoy it as a mystery thriller now...
Now if that was a plotwist- And I was wondering what would happen in the rest of the episodesðŸ˜
IKRRT i was like oh well i guess we jut have to et rid of evil old Sid the Sloth police chief and we're done with the show... but nooooo writers had to punch me out of nowhere
Am I correct in believing that it was SEUL-HAE that protected CCW from the Evil Spirit? Let me just say that I…
I don't think so... i thought that the scene was very similar to the past life, where FL seems to have done the same thing and got killed in the process. Maybe because of that, past life Poong Baek was awakened and became so powerful - to prevent the same thing from happening again. But this is all my speculation...
Ohmygoodness this episode where do I even startttttt the actors are all so GOODDDD and the writer oh my everythig is perfect!!
This whole historical arc is so beautifully done... the way he looks at her I BURNNNN historical dramas have this way of setting my heart on fire even with the smallest glances or touches. I know we're gearing up for sadness but I'll just enjoy that absolutely enchanting last scene for 24 hours 🥰
Chun Hwa is so adorably hilariously brazen, its so cuuuuteeee to see her fangirling so wholeheartedly over him and the way he cherishes her I CANNOT WITH THIS CHEMISTRYYYYY
ill shut up now... oh wait SA. RANG. HAE. YO. POONG BAEK! ANGELIC SMILE, POONG BAEKKK!! XD
