Can't believe I stuck with this till the end, albeit with liberal use of the fast forward button. It could have done with half the episodes and less of a crowd, the glaring scene lighting bugged me it made all of them washed out.
Probably could have been better with only half the episodes, it started off with an interesting premise but that could lost after the first batch of episodes, afterwards a lot was such filler
This drama is an acting delight in terms of comic timing of the ML and FL, it is a paint by numbers plot stuffed with cliche rom-com setups, but it is done with perfect execution by both lead actors, highly entertaining, recommended watch!
Avoid the Mango subs, dreadful as usual, unfortunately all the not so legal distribution sites seem to have sourced from mango (at the moment, maybe they will re-upload). The subs on WeTV app are more palatable (only available on App not website), subs not perfect either but do-able, unfortunately it is region controlled (no US, no EU, several Asian countries seem to be ok)
Very decent short drama, recommended for people that like SCI-FI genre, slick production, well cast with good acting. Do not really understand where all the negative push-back comes from.
My only pet peeve is Kim Woo Bin smoking ... in a society where oxygen is a scarce resource ... seriously cigarettes would be available !!??? ... and on a personal level why would Kim Woo Bin who is a cancer surviver glorify smoking ... INCOMPREHENSIBLE ....
Story-wise one of the best dramas I ever watched (... and I watch a lot of them ...), superb acting performance from Tseng Jing Hua. Highly recommended
Binge watched - a better watch than expected even with a story-line that is too silly for words, overall level of acting is only so-so, addictive like marsh mellows, no substance but you can help yourself on stuffing yourself.
At least in this drama Jeremy Tsui does not look chronically constipated like he did in the recently finished Journey of Chong Zi ... with only 24 episodes the plot and story telling should at least be less repetitive and with less filler episodes
Well written drama, splitting it in two was not a bad thing except that the timing between the two bits was far too long (... marketing commercial decision without a doubt ...).
Fabulous acting troupe all around including the young actors, hope that all of these actors get further opportunities to shine more than just in supporting roles. Song Hye Kyo is the big name here, whatever reason she does not seem to be able to move her facial muscles into any sort of emotion, but if she can attract the investors, quality production and writers then no reason to complain.
What a hoot ... when CDrama does Lakorn/Makjang ... seems to be the current flavour for all the mini chinese dramas ... think the subs are a bit off here and there .... anybody has an idea what bloodtype P is ... LOL ... what a laugh ...
It took me a couple of episodes to really get into this, it started off with case solving with story arc's spanning over a few episodes, lets say CSI ancient China style, interesting and visually engaging, but its brilliance grew on me as the story-telling progressed into an overall story plot linking all the protagonists in one form or another, fortunately I was slow in my initial viewing so I could binge watch the superb latter half of the drama in one go.
Binge watched in 2 sittings with a few hours nap in between, absolutely luved it, fast paced with a great female character at the center of it. Perfectly cast all around. No need to have any deep or angsty thoughts, just enjoy the ride.
