The first episodes are a bit of a mess in story telling, when you compare it to its prequel the cast does not measure up in range and depth of acting but it has a lot of pleasing pretty As a standalone drama it is entertaining enough to make for a joyful watch, however I do not think it will be as memorable a decade later as its prequel was
This short length drama is surprisingly good, highly recommended.
I spend more time than most watching Cdrama, Kdrama, Jdrama (retired and up many hours during the night), after a decade and 100's (or more - I only started tagging them on MDL a few years ago, years before I did not keep track) of dramas I tend to fast forward a lot because plot lines become predictable or quality of the acting, production is subpar ... happens a lot on the Cdrama short length variety ... on this one - barely any FF from my side, after the first episode -where you do not really understand much of what is happening - I got fully sucked in and binged watch all episodes. it baffles me a bit how this one did not make it to the usual international Cdrama viewing platforms
what a train wreck ... it did not work as a comedy, not as a romance, not as a drama, not as sci-fi ... maybe if they had stuck to one genre (... for god sake not the comedy one ...) it could have worked marginally better.
With the experience they have, the actors must have been aware as much as us the viewers that this thing was just going to crash and burn
The casting on this drama is a disaster, they have actors in their late forties and above portraying people in their early twenties and younger ... sorry they can't pull it off no matter on how much acting talent they have... surely there are thousands of actors in a better age range to suit the plot to chose from ...
This show is a true delight, think most of us needed a daily dose of good comic relief (for sure the real world has been a total shit show this year ...) Dylan Wang rocks his piece, not to mention the start and end songs - Everything top notch
Six episodes in, very pleasantly surprised on the quality of the visuals, the acting, the story, Curious if further fantasy elements will make their appearance apart from the brief first episode twist. Not sure why this was gathering dust in the archives for so many years to suddenly drop, but glad it did. It is mentioned that this is a low budget affaire, well the viewing experience is anything but. What an unexpected treat, will be looking forward to the next 18 episodes.

For me this was a gem of a watch, looked forward to every episode, luved the character of A Mai and the acting chops of the FL portraying her. Personally do not understand the negative sentiment about the story in the comments, then again I see TV dramas as stand-alone and am not interested in the deviation from the source material.
Acting, Visuals, story, the ending, for me it ticked all the right boxes, The only thing I did not like was the title, that did not cover the load. Also sorry that these days these dramas can not be spun out in 80 episodes so I can enjoy it longer. Will wait a few years to rewatch to enjoy this again.
If you like anti-heroes you will love this, it has a very dark and depressing mood so for sure not a recommended watch for everybody, You will either love this or hate it, if you want something cheerful ... this is not it, thought provoking or philosophical - not really, this is just good engaging storytelling sucked me in completely - binge watched it overnight.
Superb acting, especially Choi Woo Shik - very impressive acting range, he must have had a blast getting into this character, but there are a few other acting gems in there, I really think Kim Yo Han should be mentioned as more than just "support role" at the bottom of the list. Don't quite agree with the tag dark comedy.
this is a hoot, at episode 4, big brother Cdrama style, not taking itself very seriously, good fun and entertaining hope it keeps up its momentum
At ep 8, we're getting twist and turns in each episode, everybody with their own agenda, overall a great short watch in each episode, keeping my fingers crossed it does not get too draggy
recommended, good story, very decent cast lead by superb actress Ireine Song, went in it without expectations but turned out to be the best Cdrama on air during its run ( ... in my humble opinion at least ... yes I am referring to very disappointing sword and fairy buckets of murky stuff)
this was surprisingly good, absurd story well executed, short but well paced, proof that you do not need big names and big budgets to make something very entertaining and watchable, and yes it is the cute pig that steals every scene it is in ...
Below the link to a rant about this drama from one of the Cdrama bloggers, I do agree with a lot of the arguments, but unlike the blogger I will try to stick it out till the end and not drop it at episode 6, but I am hoping it will improve over its run because the first episodes were a tat incoherent.
Light satisfying drama, liked the ensemble cast, would have liked much more airtime for the eldest sister and her ex-husband, could we get a separate spin-off of 6 episode drama on just those two ... pretty please ...
This will not be everybody's cup of tea and for sure not what you expect from a run of the mill Kdrama, quite dark, violent and at times gory., not sure why some comments label it as slow, it reminds me of some of the Scandinavian dark thrillers / police dramas in term of pace and type of storytelling. Superb cast and acting.
