Superior cinematography and acting, great story but possibly not for everyone, not the drama if you are looking for something to cheer you up, light and fluffy does not apply here. To follow the story you need to keep your wits about you.
Another one in the recent line-up of Cdrama being served up as Lakorn appetisers LOL If this is your cup of tea try the real Thai ones for the full course of Lakorn or if Korean is more your thing look for Makjang as tag
Very satisfying and well executed revenge Kdrama, very well cast but it needs to be said the real ace in the acting department is without a doubt Shin Sung Rok
Gosh, this thing is excellent, woke up during the night, really bored, already watched all the other Kdrama, Cdrama, Jdrama I was currently following, was not too excited on the synopsis of this one ... boy was I wrong ... this is now on top of my weekly list of must see ones ... soo good !!! Fl acting performance off the charts, you can imagine all the interesting story lines they could explore, of course it would not be a Kdrama if it did not have the obligatory birth secret to explore ... you can see that one coming from miles away. Anyway, bottom line, do not hesitate to start watching this little gem of a drama!!!
Easily the best Jdrama I watched this year, not much real plot going on, just the progression of their relationship, superb acting kudos to whomever did the casting of the 2 ML's. I would not have minded if they had continued to give some more helping of food porn and two guys doing the Japanese girl things. Only one episode to go will prepare some yummy sweet stuff for myself to tie me over on the crash and burn feeling when this Jdrama is finished, I am not much of an alcohol fan or I would prepare a serious drinking session instead ;-)
First half of this drama was very enjoyable, until the 2/3 mark it was still ok, the last episodes were not so great - not sure why, the original source material was great, did this drama change script writer towards the end ? Would not tag it as a waste of my time, just a tat disappointed with the lacklustre feel of the storytelling in the latter episodes (and for me has nothing to do with the choice of final husband)
Thanks for linking to that form. I've been despairing about not knowing where to ask for subtitles for a couple…
The past years a lot more subs are available for CDRAMA, the best sources are VIKI, IQIQ, WeTV tencent, VIU - However there are regional licensing twists and turns. Good VPN software (pay for it) is a must (also tends to protects your privacy). Personally I see that putting on US gives me the most content. I pay where I can on streaming services (VIKI, WeTV, IQIQ) YOUKU youtube accommodates international audiences, the YOUKU app not, same for Mango. The latter subs are initially always a disaster, sometimes they get cleaned up afterwards. Other youtube channels will only give subs if they have the license, requesting dramas will probably not work (YOYO, KUKAN, MZTV, CROTON, YOUHUG, Fresh drama, Chinese drama global (more spanish tsubs hese days), HUACE global, China zone). Recently the regional licensing game seems to have gotten more complex (e.g. Blue Whisper). There is overlap between Youtube and VIKI (HUACE, china zone) but again regional licensing is at play. There are fansubs that seem to have a collaboration with youtube channels such as Babelsub, There are some very active subbers like productive procrastination but it obviously depends on their work/family how much time they can dedicate, some months they can be very active, some months no posts. Recently blue whisper was picked up by fansubs behind a very active CDRAMA blogs site - avirtualvoyage.net but that is a new development. Once there are subs you can be sure that all the parasite distribution sites will propagate it BUT as said none of those add any content whatsoever. Imperial age is only available on YOUKU app in chinese, so most likely only matter of time before they also put it on their international Youtube channel
In the past VIKI request forms seem to have had a positive effect, not sure recently the chinese production companies are peddling their products via own youtube channels. Anyway we can try. For JDRAMA is it all fansubs, but more and more seem to be active, and ones the subs are there a few months later VIKI picks up those dramas with the subs. There is a twitter page that gives the overview of the ongoing japanese subs ( Dylan Rodrigues) For KDRAMA things are now all over the place given the commercial international success, VIKI has less Kdrama than before. Each alternative streaming platform only provides a limited set so not really affordable for anybody (Netflex, Disney, etc ...), getting too fragmented.
Maybe somebody knows other channels for request forms elsewhere, and NO that is not the not so legal distributor sites like dramacool, kissasian, fdrama etc ... these sites just pick up the sources where ever they can find them and propagate they do not add value to the content like subtitles ..
We can keep our fingers crossed that one of the superb volunteer teams takes it up, but I will not badger them for it, if they have time and have the means one of them will take it up but people do not need to overwhelm them with requests.
Youku youtube does seem to actively nurture international audiences so maybe it is just a delay.
Is the english sub for this only on those 3rd party sites like dramacool, not on any official youku platforms?
Subs are being done by volunteers until official subs are coming out, below link, if you find them anywhere else they were ripped off without consent, official subs are supposed to come out on Croton Megahit, no idea of timing or regional limitations
Let's be honest, this is a flippin good drama but it is not getting the traction it deserves coz of greed & aweful…
Subs are good on Huanyu youtube, about 10 episodes behind from Mango TV schedule, but worth the wait, regionally limited (you need very decent VPN setup), not sure if the illegal distribution sites re-upload the episodes with good subs once they are available. So the drama is sold internationally just not with the usual regional spread with Viki, WETV for US
It's a frustrating puzzle trying to figure out what the English subs actually mean. I would give it a much higher…
I stopped watching with the bad Mango subs, this drama is very good and it deserves good subs, indeed the youtube from Huanyu has good subs, now at ep9 but regionally limited, got it on Taipei IP with a decent VPN setup (not a free one). Not sure if the usual (not so legal) distribution sites will re-upload the episodes with good subs once they are available. You really need to watch this with good subs this drama deserves it.
Dramacool DOES NOT Sub, it is a distribution site where people just upload poached dramas from elsewhere, subs are done (mostly by volunteers) by legal sites like Viki, Tencent, IQiyi, VIU, YOYO youtube, MZTV youtube, YOKU youtube etc, in this case Mango TV has the license and unfortunately their subbers are not that great, there are a few independent volunteer subbers as well (e.g. productive procrastination). In this case the international license is owned by Mango so the other legal streaming sites can not touch it for a while. So again NO dramacool does not sub, neither does Kissasian, Fdrama, dramanice etc ... So far for this drama. ep1 subs and timing are awful, 2-4 is passable.
at ep 4, this drama is excellent!!! The subs on ep1 from MGTV are terrible with the timing off, but for ep2,3,4 subs are better, not great but passable. Both leads are perfectly cast, plot is fast paced with each episodes having a few gem surprises in it, looking forward to the next 12 episodes

Do not seem to be able to find it on Spotify, thank you

Only 3 eps so far until official subs arrive
are decent, they sub until the official subs come along
