reading the article this is about WB peddling their old products in Korea, not the other way around, or did I read it wrong?
JustJackieB Dec 12, 2018
My theory is that WB is just harvesting email and personal info, and technology from niche streaming websites like DF, shutting down future and present competition in hoping to bring something up where they think they can compete with established giant Netflix.
As far as I am concerned they are in for failure, by shutting down DF (not the mention the shitty way how that was done) they indicate that they have no clue whatsoever on the fanbase of Asian dramas with little or no interest in other shows (and probably already have netflix if they do).
Looking at some of the WB executive pictures it looks like an "old-boy" white men club, somehow doubt they have any clue on the predominately (international) female clientele of Asian dramas (not being in US did not stop me from paying and using DF ...), I would not hold my breath that anything they would come up with would accommodate the old DF clientele.

Personally I was relying on DF more for properly subtitled Cdrama than Kdrama, as indeed is the case my Kdrama viewing goes on uninterrupted by using Viki and other "gray-area" sites, it is Cdrama subtitles I am scrambling for.
As a positive evolution it seems that Viki is picking up Jdramas, better late than never given Rakuten Viki is a Japanese company.

Cdramabase is subbing as of 25 on youtube - you can check progress and links https://cdramabase.com/current-subbing-projects/
Sorry I have no inside information, I am only a fan of their blog and support them occasionally with donations, I expect everybody will need to be patient

Cdramabase will continue subbing it!https://cdramabase.com/current-subbing-projects/
will you pickup subbing from ep 25 where DF stopped or will you start from where the Youtube channel stopped at ep4 ?

Dramafever is gone. Unless someone else is subbing this drama, subbed episodes have ended at Ep. 24.https://www.dramafever.com/https://variety.com/2018/digital/news/dramafever-k-drama-shutting-down-warner-bros-1202982001/
Cdramabase just confirmed they are picking it up for subtitles on youtube Croton Megahit

now i have to watch on kissasian for the things that viki doesnt provide. I hate using kissasian
that is not how it works ... it is viki and DF, KOCOWA that will get the licenses and the subtitles ... kisassian only rips it off illegally from those sources ... so DF no longer has the content --> Kissassian will not have it either unless they can rip it off Viki and KOCOW or youtube
Site like Kissasian do not add content themselves they just steal it from elsewhere and distribute it via their own very dubious sites (which will also try to dig into your personal info and then try to make money selling that info, not to mention all the malware that frequently piggybacks on those sites)

There are multiple ways of getting around regional limitations, you just need VPN software (and be very creative and inventive how to use it), so DF is actually accessible anywhere that VPN is accessible (e.g. Europe), but yes a good VPN software is not for free either.

I am thoroughly pissed ... like everybody else with the DF shutdown, not to mention the unprofessional way it was done. Hope everybody will use their socialmedia power to put a fire under warnermedia for their shitty business behaviour.

Like mentioned in a previous comment, for me the biggest issue is not Kdrama ... there is enough of an established base that somehow the Jtbc, OCN, Tvn, Dramax etc ... will eventually be picked up elsewhere and get subbed. The problem is currently getting fully subbed timely delivered Cdrama ...
Will be keeping track of https://cdramabase.com/ . -- there at least I can see which youtube channel might be streaming the Cdrama and keeping my fingers crossed one or other of the scarce volunteer subbers will be putting up some subtitles. I will take any scrap of Cdrama subtitles I can find.

I am straight up gonna say this because most of the comments are focused solely on Korean drama content but for…
fully agree with you ... one of the main points of DF shutdown is not Kdrama ... the slack will be picked up elsewhere ... it is the Cdramas part that will be the issue
Sincerely hope that Age of legends on youtube (Croton Mega hit) will be able to attract some volunteers subbers.
Going to put some of my faith in Cdramabase with some crowdfunding contributions and hope it gets picked up.
Fully subbed Cdrama is the aim, but I am so addicted to some of the dramas I will settle for even 1 extra episode subbed ;-)

COATS and magical cupboard space in kdrama !!!

That cracks me up completely.
Even the poorest of characters seem to have an endless supply of fashionable coats. How many coats can a poor student own ? How many coats does an average person use. Kdrama character go thru scores and scores of them.

If the story line depicts a short (or even long) get-away, you see them travel with a standard suitcase, but somehow they have multiple coats with them ? The suitcases must be like the Tardis from doctor who, small on the outside, huge on the inside.

They often show the bedrooms with very limited cupboard space, how do they fit all the clothes in, in many dramas the lead characters wear different outfits every different day? and let me not get started on how that would work with the many coats ....

Another topic is BIRTH CONTROL

It is seldom or never talked about. Getting drunk seems to be a national pass-time in S.Korea, having some standard conception around would expected. More often than not, they jump in bed once and pregnancy follows.

They seem to use the phone PPLs to educate people how to use new features. Should they not do the seem on Birth control in a nation that thrives on alcohol abuse ?

Definitely a MUST watch from my point of view - great story - great actors.

The adult lead actors are very well cast, so is the father, the young Na Moo (this kid nails it in any drama he is in) and with a special shout-out to the "evil reporter"

The actor that plays the psychopathic father is superb, the range of evil he manages to portrait is fascinating. Somehow I think there is still much more to learn in the upcoming episodes about the relation between father and Na Moo, with some big ambiguous reveals.

The portrail of the reporter is also intriguing - who is more evil a serial killer or a reporter that is just using anybody's misery for their benefit not caring for all the collateral damage around.

Do not think we have the full story yet on what happened exactly "that night" - did the father really kill her parents ?

How is the brother going to derail with the obsession around his step-sister, did he play any part in "that night".

Interesting development with the new stalker - what assignment did he get in prison vis a vis Nak won.

well indeed ... finally ep40 with subs via the Singaporean link ... although need to watch it in a timely fashion since only a week's worth of episodes are kept online ...

This drama deserves a higher rating. The plot is amazing, would recommend those hesitating to watch it. You can…
Maplestage just rips it off from the official youtube channel, no added value on that streaming site . Translations is not further on than ep22.
Unfortunately no further subbing the past 2 weeks. Everybody's best bet will be to try to request is actively from Viki.com or Dramafever, unless you know some willing chinese-English translators that want to continue translating on the official youtube channel
On Rule the World Dec 20, 2017
20/12 . subs up for ep20 & ep21 on official youtube channel . "YoYo Television Series Exclusive" ... all raw episodes are loaded there total 45 ... hope that they keep subbing
