7.7 is way too low. For me it should be more like 8-8.5 now, after episode 5. It’s well paced, chemistry between characters is really good, we get some comedy but also more serious topics (trigger warning: domestic violence). I’m genuinely curious about all 3 main couples, each of them have very different past and dynamics (and some secrets to be revealed, I guess ;)).

If it’s gonna keep the pacing and story written well, I may even end up really loving it. Promising, but I’ve learned this year in a hard way that a drama may be ruined in the middle/in the end 🥲

Just finished episode 5 and so far so good for me. I like the structure of episodes: flashback to high school -> present day -> future interviews during the show. Episode 5 gave me that feeling of warmth between 6 main characters, I am looking forward more of them working together on the screen ❤️

I feel he’s more like an extra protective friend and I am also sensing some potential feelings developement between him and ML’s lawyer.

I think the same, he’s just extra protective as her friend, I don’t sense any love triangle vibes here.

I have a theory that I reeeeaaalllyy want to believe in that the 2nd season was always planned and maybe even already shooted/during shooting, that’s why we have number 1 in the English title. 2nd season will have number 2 in it. Please, let me be delusional, I’m traumatized by this ending.

One big difference between China and e.g. SK is censorship. It takes time, the outcome may impact the final number of episodes. From my observation, it looks like China is also more "tactical" about the airing time.

Yes, definitely it's been downvoted on MDL. Douban rating is 7.9 which is relatively good which shows that this drama has been received well in China, comparing to other countries. Which is nothing surprising, we definitely have quite different opinions on dramas. Some examples of 2024 dramas ratings below:
