I love our rectangle and I hope they’ll stay friends till the end of this drama.
(Spoiler) The hot pot scene was somehow heartwarming for me.
All of them are lonely and ostracized in some ways, so friendship is really what they all need:
Rich Fanboy - because of his love for poetry and his father literally buying his potencial friends Sly Fox - his family has been trapped for years by the sect, looks like he’s been not treated well by people knowing he’s a fox Ex Golden Boy - exiled by his own sect, left by his master. People from his sect (former friends!) are literally hunting him down to kill Poison Queen - looks like she was not liked by people from her sect and even bullied so that cute scorpion pet was her best friend
Watch first 2 eps and fell asleep. The humor & chemistry kinda off …
First 3 episodes are like entirely different drama for me. I was struggling to even finish them. But! I have a rule of watching first 5 episodes before dropping and woah it’s getting much much better. Last episodes felt like 5 minutes each when they’re 45 min (10 minutes longer than the first ones 😅 which I even struggled to finish)
My advice? Ignore first episodes/watch them on 1.25x or 1.5x and let it a try from 4/5 episode.
The chemistry is getting MUCH better, FL is not a classical naive one as it looked like in the first episodes. We have some epic fight scenes (ZLH is nailing it!), darker vibes. And (luckily) the comedy is not that cringey but more balanced with serious stuff, I would say now the amount and type of humor is more like in most of this type of xianxias.
I know I am into the drama when the episodes feel too short. First episodes were quite short (30-40 min) but felt long. Last episodes are all over 40 minutes but finish way too fast. It's really getting better with each episode!
Happily we will get some episodes during the weekend. It's a good drama to watch in parallel with Dashing Youth since "no-ep days" compliment for those two ;)
it's probably gonna be heavy plot, these few eps are your comedy releif, be grateful and don't drop it yet lol
That's what I was thinking, that a lot of dramas which have a light and comedic first episodes tend to be heart wrenching and kinda traumatizing (I am looking at you Ashes of Love and Back from the Brink).
Wtf.... From 8.7 to 7.9?😳 Drama is not that bad so far...
I recall The Double at 7.9 rating in the first week of airing, so it doesn't matter what the ratings are at this point. A lot of people who watch the drama will rate it after it ends.
Why the ratings is dropping😌I didn't get bored watching this drama🥰❤️❤️
Ratings have no value before the drama ends, especially in the first week of airing. A lot of people give their ratings based only on a first episode (what for me doesn't make any sense but it is how it is), there is also a lot of actor/drama haters which will give 1 without even watching the drama.
Rating has nothing to do with the drama's value until the drama ends, especially in the first week of airing. Did you see The Double rated 7.9 during the first episodes? Because I did and it sounds ridiculous
For those in the comments doubtful about watching it, I would suggest you to give it a try atleast till ep4-5.The…
It’s definitely getting more serious since ep 5, trailer didn’t give it a justice. Can’t wait for the story to unfold but I feel it’s good to have some tissues prepared
I wanted to like this but the first episode didn't captivate me... I don't know what it is but it kinda felt like…
I was sceptic after the first 3 episodes, with ep 4 it's getting better, but ep 5 & 6 got me all in, story is getting more interesting and the dynamic between characters is also getting better. I dare to say the first episodes feel kinda cheap and the chemistry is not there at all, it's like a different drama
Why are the episodes so short? 35 minutes?! Ep 3 was a longer one, over 45 minutes but what happened to other ones? Is it caused by some cuts during the censorship? 🥲

The overall drama vibe is definitely different than that, I’m slowly getting ready for the heartbreaks and angst 🥲

I think a lot of people will not pick up this one thinking it's going to be colorful comedy like in the first episodes, it's a pity.
Not gonna lie, I am here for it
iQIYI VIP lets you watch in 1080p what can not be a case for Viki.

Started watching directors cut and now it all makes sense. This added scenes in first episodes really made a difference for me.
