He has no chances with his abilities comparing to Princess, Duke and A’Li. I trurly believe he’s not that smart. He trurly overestimated himself when facing the Princess.

He feels inferior towards people like Duke or Princess, so he’s also limited with his thinking that everything can be solved by money and power.

That’s my guess.

My guess is that in his completely twisted mind he was really doing it „to save her”, but there was also an ulterior motive to just get her back.

Yeah, that’s what I think, that atp he’s an empty shell. He’s been avoiding to have any feelings at all to not go completely mad, but since XFF is fully back throwing facts in his face, there are leaks and I think he will eventually feel everything he was trying to avoid which will make him k*ll himself.

That backfired on him very quickly.
I am still wondering how much he’s done really by his own idea and what part was planned by his mother? He could’ve been ambitious but he was also strongly driven by ethics as seen in the flashbacks with A’Li. I dare to think he wouldn’t do any of this if not because of the „revenge mission” he got from his father.

I am still wondering what was the role of his mother and (late) father in all of this (the retrospection scene?). She’s been clearly fully supporting the princess and was very fast to set A’Li up.

I’m also trying to understand SYR’s character a little bit more, since we also got some additional details about him in the last episodes. I repeat: He’s still a disgusting man who did evil things and I don’t think that should’ve make him avoid the consequences. I just think psychopathic Princess is worse, that’s it. And I love her portrayal in this drama, as a villain she’s a top tier. I just can’t make myself think that she’s not the worse person here.

I agree on this one fully. The idea of marrying her was just extremely disgusting to me. Unfortunately, I also think he really believes he would be doing it to save A’Li. What he doesn’t understand is that not everyone is so dumb and driven by fear as he does.

I agree he’s evil, I just don’t agree he’s a psychopath worse than a Princess. You may be a victim and do evil things. He’s victim towards Princess but a villain towards A’Li.

I don’t also think he believes he’s a good person. He could’ve push away from his mind the evil things he’s been doing in an act of self preservation, but it’s no longer a case as seen during the birthday scene.

He’s close to absolutely loose it and I think he will in upcoming episodes. He’s mind is twisted and driven by constant fear because of Princess, that man is mad at this point but still not a psychopath like her.

I am far away from thinking he’s a good person, he’s evil for what he’s done. I just think Princess is ultimately the worst person of this drama (so far).

Sorry, but I have missed the moment he purposely approached her, do you remember the episode? I would need to check it out, because maybe I really missed something important here, I have no problem with admitting to my mistakes.

Disclaimer: When he approached her after leaving palace when A’Li was also waiting for him, I assumed he’s been already entangled by Princess.

I also think that karma got him for what he’s done. And he will suffer till the end of his life because of guilt and psychological trauma.

He was made to do horrible things by his mother and father’s death wish for him to revenge his family (I think we still don’t know the full story behind it?).

As mentioned - I don’t defend the disgusting things he’s made. I just think there is a difference between someone who’s having inferiority complex (he probably thought it was the only way to „save his family” because he doesn’t have money and strong family support) of a weak personality and someone who’s doing bad things with the smile on their faces. Princess clearly feels joy when hurting other people.

And oh hell no, I’m not an apologist. I agree they’re both bad people. I just can’t agree that he’s worse than Princess and he’s a psychopath like her, that’s all. Not all people doing horrible stuff are psychopaths.

The disgust he must feel towards himsel every time he’s in Princess’ presence and doing stuff for her is literally tormenting him. He’s practically a s*xual slave of hers. Karma got him very fast with the overwhelming feeling of guilt and completely loosing his core identity. He’s an empty shell of a human being, clearly in survival mode. I also believe that he was really thinking he’s going to help A’Li with this marriage (he wanted her back, too, ofc what is disgusting to even think about).

Have we watched the same drama? The flashbacks clearly showed he ignored her from the beginning and mentioned that he has a wife. What he’s done he wasn’t a douchebag as everyone else and didn’t treat her like shit. That what make her want him.

If it would be only his life on the line, then fine but she was threatening him with the lives of his mother and sister. He’s more complex than that.

I was a first person to see him as psychopath but after those last episodes I am more convinced he’s mostly a victim. BUT! It doesn’t mean I think he’s a good person, oh no, he’s disgusting for what he’s done, for even thinking that he can have her back and trying to trick her into marriage.

Just princess is really horrible person, the worst here. I admit, she’s an interesting villain but it’s hard for me to agree that a man who was her target is worse than a woman who is threatening everyone she wants and acts so vicious thanks to her position. She’s clearly cruel and psychopathic.

Naaah for me it’s just an excuse for her evil behavior. She’s a privileged psychopath, that’s it. I believe there may be something more to her story but the tendencies and entitlement made her mostly who she is now. FL has a very long list of reasons she could’ve become a bad person only looking for revenge, but here we are, she’s just seeking justice and does her best to avoid hurting people who don’t deserve it.

Of course, because princess could only target a weak man like him as her victim. She wouldn’t be able to handle a man like Duke Su 😅 At least she knows her limits

She literally made him a slave, both mentally and physically, there is no way she’s better than him in any way possible. She’s a privileged psychopath, he’s a victim of hers and a coward with some inferiority complex. It doesn’t make him a good person but hell no, she’s much worse.

At this point their hands are paid actors and part of the cast.

Where did you watch ep27? There are only 26 episodes available on WeTV, but the schedule here on MDL also says that the next episode to be aired today is ep28? I am confused
