He’s a master of manipulation. He’s using the „poor and unworthy” tactic on her from the first day.

100% agree with you.

Him coming to her and asking to break up was the manipulation tactic at the finest. Sure, he wasn’t THAT bad from the beginning, but the signs were there, from the beginning. He stalked her. Tricked her into living together. Lied to her - a lot. People with narcissistic tendencies wouldn’t be aware of doing bad stuff. They think they’re right and everyone should adjust. He’s probably not doing it with the evil thoughts in his mind. But he’s mentally disturbed and requires a help of a professional. The portrayal of covert narcissist is done very well here. It’s coming from deeply rooted and extremely low self esteem, not vicious needs.

Seeing his mother I am sure he didn’t have an easy childhood. But does it make any excuse for his actions? Definitely not. I can pity him, at most.

There are no villains born, they’re always made by the life circumstances. But if they don’t want to change or even see the problem then best you can do is run. Far away.

Yi Mei is actually lucky she have close person to offer her support with this emotional abuse from her husband…
This. I’m happy that she has such a supportive parents and brother. And there are Su Su and her ex boss. She’s really lucky, as there are indeed women who are staying in this kind of toxic relationships the whole life just because they see no hope.

Title The Tale of Rose Spoiler
There are no words to describe how triggered I am right now. What’s the worst about this part of Rose’s story? That it’s realistic. There are some man like this. There are some mother in law like this. And there are victims of those horrible kind of duos. They know very well that the way they’ve been treating her is not right and it was made extremely obvious when her parents came with the visit. It’s surreal how they immediately started to give the performance of perfect family. Another sad part? Rose is fully in a victim mode. She’s hiding her real state and feelings from her parents. She’s not fighting for herself, stopped setting boundaries. The only way she knows right now is running away. Even for a walk to park. The scene when that b*tch was following her, sticking her nose in her computer, criticizing everything - I felt the way Rose was feeling - it’s suffocating. Moves your brain to survival mode.

Ehhh and I haven’t even started watching ep24. I have to drink some camomile tea to calm down.

Title Dashing Youth Spoiler
Those who watched The Blood of Youth know the fate of main characters. If you want spoilers, I will put it under…
Baili Dongjun becomes an alcohol deity and one of the most powerful people in the martial world, Ye Dingzhi dies (that's probably what's going to happen at the end of Dashing Youth), his son becomes one of the main characters of The Blood of Youth known as Wu Xin/Ye Anshi.

Title The Tale of Rose Spoiler
As soon as she said it, I knew HZH was going to install that bathtub. I wish Su Su had taken Rose seriously when…
I think that HZH and Su Su will make it through, even if the break up will be included. It may be needed for them to take a step forward.

Their mother mentioned that it's going to be a challenging relationship, but I believe Su Su is also very self aware, willing to improve her communication skills and genuinely loves HZH.

HZH is a very loving kind of person, with a pure heart and intentions, with good relationship fundamentals thanks to his parents. He loves Su Su very much. But he's also a human being and has his flaws. Him and Rose have both a tendency to speak faster than think in stressful situations, being impulsive and it shows in recent episodes.

Two such a different personalities with a very different backgrounds need some time and conflicts to be solved to create better bond and understanding for each other.

Su Su needs to open more, HZH has to improve his skills when it comes to listening and patience. He's assuming things too fast without really understanding Su Su's reasons behind her actions.

As soon as they will realize that, their relationship will become better and stronger.

Title The Tale of Rose Spoiler
These two siblings are a piece of work. One makes terrible choices in men the other can't take a simple request…
I think he didn't take that bathtub request as that serious. She just mentioned, that "there is not enough place" and then dismissed all of his calls and proposals by telling him she trusts him and wants him to decide. At his place, I could also forget about that request, tbh.

I am absolutely, 100% sure he would NEVER put that bathtub in this bathroom knowing the reason behind that request. He has his flaws. His character is very realistic, as he's a really good person but sometimes makes mistakes.

Let's keep in mind that Su Su is a very closed person when it comes to her feelings, so she's a challenge to begin with. They're both a good people, well fitted for themselves. They just need to work things out, even if it's going to include a break up in the future.

I believe they will make it through and it's going to make their relationship even stronger. They're this kind of couple. There are no unnecessary dramas, every conflict has its deeper roots and make them get to know and understand each other even better. Relationships without conflicts, especially when people are that different, will not bloom. No arguments would be considered a bad sign, meaning someone is adjusting and loosing themselves or there is no communication at all between people.

I feel like she should have noticed this, even the moment where he beat up that guy at the restaurant was a sign!…
Let's keep in mind that she didn't really care about him back then so the signs could be missed. She was also still in a very vulnerable state, which made her a perfect victim for him. Narcissists tend to choose for their partners/victims people who are lonely and depressed. That's exactly how she was when they met.
