Yaaaasss! Fingers crossed, I would love to see it happen

Fingers crossed, so far this drama is doing very well with the villains. For most of them I can see the cause of their actions.

The most mysterious one is for sure the ex-husband aka Shen Yurong. I haven't still decided if he's crazy no less than the princess herself or he's just a coward (or both?). I guess, we will find out soon.

Yeah, hopefully they will at least give us an express package...

It showed us how this "serious exorcisms" are in fact one big acting scene and manipulation tool. We, as educated and modern people, are aware it's all a bullshit but in the old times the crazier it looked, the more convincing it could be. I found it interesting how princess chose the new diviner, by combat.

I felt sad for that man, all he wanted to do in life was painting and being with the woman he loved. But because of her he went through hell and ended this way.

No, he’s not a bad guy but I still find him quite toxic. He isn’t really self aware enough to understand what’s gonna happen when he will not be able to act anymore. I feel sorry for him, just from the beginning I knew something was off with the way he was treating Rose.

Wishing him to find someone he will not feel inferior to or at least getting some kind of therapy to live a better life. Life is to short to live it pretending to be someone else and not true to yourself.

I think that’s the biggest difference between him and Su Su: she’s much more self aware, especially thanks to Rose, Zhenhua and the boss. I love it how she started trying to change seeing that her actions were toxic and had bad influence on the relationship.

They’re the kind of couple who is complimenting and balancing each other. They are very different but thanks to that they can also grow and learn from each other.

The current situation will be a crisis which will bring Zhenhua the confidence that Su Su is his real love and endgame. That also how it works in good relationships. He’s a little bit lost right now but him cheating on Su Su would be so out of character that I would just stop watching this drama if that happens. He has doubts, of course, but I see it as a good sign of their relationship evolving. He’s been so casual with saying „we should buy a house together” or „we will have a kid”, but it didn’t seem like he had some deeper thoughts about it, for him that are just natural things to happen.

Yeah, there was a fire and passion but there was no „friendship” element. They didn’t really talk, just lived a fairytale dream. It was just an immature type of relationship. Maybe, if they would have a chance to spend more time together and start working their things out, that would work and become more healthy. Unfortunately, it ended before it really had a chance to bloom.

Treating your partner like a child not like an equal partner is also some form of abuse from my perspective. You’re not allowing the other person to be decisive and with your people pleasing tendencies make them having some kind of „debts” they haven’t even been aware of.

They would be much better as friends (ofc if he would let go of the idea of her being his love interest). She’s never really been into him. I don’t say that love has to be always all butterflies but in their situation it looked more like a convenient decision than the start romantic relationship.

After episodes 17&18 I came here to give a big shout out to the parents. They’ve been giving wise advices. Love how they also went through the character development.

There is one big difference between him and Su Su: she’s extremely honest and distanced. She’s not trying to please people for her advantage. Her personality is not fake.

He’s doing the exact opposite and I think Rose’s father summarized it pretty well - he’s too good to be true so you’re not able to see who he really is and in the future he can blame Rose if anything’s going to happen to their relationship. He will probably mention all of the things he’s done for her (despite not being asked to) and make it all her fault.

What he really lacks is authenticity.

I started to like Ruoyao, she's got a potencial for a good character development. No soft spot for Ji Shuran

Ji Shuran’s character got so much depth thanks to today’s episode. I love well written villains! Can’t wait for her fall tho 😅

I think they’re supposed to be like that. Finding a good partner may take a lot of time and includes failed relationships.

The FL tends to have a shallow relationships in general, what we can see from the beginning. She had no real friends before meeting SuSu.

SuSu and her brother may be considered the only characters which she’s been having some deeper relationships with.

I don’t think she knows what the real intimacy is. With the first boyfriend, it was mostly the physical attraction. Their conversations were mostly so sugarcoated and shallow. Also arguments were never solved with mature conversation, just pushed back to backfire in some time.

With the second one, I feel she’s gonna settle because she’s just going to be manipulated that „this is what true love looks like”. She’s going to rationalize it. I believe her family may take a part in her future decisions, too. „He likes me and treats me well, so he must love me” - but does she really love him? From the beginning their vibe was all on the friendship side.

Waiting for the next two guys to show up and the FL to get better understanding on how the good quality relationship looks like.
