I finally picked this one up to watch, and I just finished it. I love when a drama lives up to the hypeāthis one is the perfect example. The story was so engaging, the cast and characters were incredible, and the OST gave me chills more times than I can count.
Am I the only one suspicious of Ji Gyung Hun, the school administrative director who keeps calling the FLās grandpa his āfatherā?
I canāt shake the feeling that he mightāve set up the FLās father in the past to avoid taking responsibility, ultimately turning her into a scapegoat. I also suspect he could be the one who tipped off the MLās father about the meeting with the elders to discuss saving the mountain.
Overall, he seems like some kind of mastermind. It feels like heās been exploiting the FLās grandpaās good heart and the MLās fatherās thirst for vengeance, manipulating them both to serve his own agenda.
For me, this is such an underrated gem! I even enjoy both leads acting childish and immature when they bicker. To me, thatās a sign of true loveāit shows theyāre still incredibly comfortable with each other. Sure, not all the jokes make me laugh, but I absolutely love their interactions.
(Slight possible spoiler warning) Letās not forget how they both had to grow up suddenly, with only those three months of joy in their past. As teenagers, he was so sensitive and caring, while she wasnāt afraid to speak up and stand her ground whenever it was needed, whether for herself or others.
I'm angry that I have to wait to watch this on Viki when I have paid subscriptions to WeTV and IQiyi. Really hate…
Same here, I pay for each subscription but I can't even get Express (which I would maybe consider buying?). That's the second time this year I am stuck because of that with WeTV (Joy of Life 2 was a nightmare, spoilers everywhere).
Chinese year of āblossomingā dramas š 1. Blossoms in Adversity 2. In Blossom 3. Meet You at the Blossom (BL co-produced with Thailand & Taiwan) 4. Blossom
SY is not they typically c drama ml character. Thatās what refreshing about this drama. Nothing is really predictable.…
Unfortunately, I have to agree. It may not be as bad in Europe, but itās still here. Being single is probably not as ābadā as being single mother or divorced, but stigma still follows those women as āless desirableā. Whatās changing the most is the mindset between younger people, we tend to care less about the older generationās opinions on the subject.

I both agree and disagree (if that makes sense).
On one hand, he couldāve worked on himself and changed his attitude. But before that, his no-marriage rule made sense. I assume the women knew about it from the start and still chose to enter a relationship with him anyway.
On the other hand, there are women who can be serious about a relationship without necessarily wanting marriage. Some might feel marriage isnāt necessary to validate their commitment, while others may prioritize independence, career goals, or simply prefer a different kind of partnership. Itās possible to value the connection deeply without feeling the need to formalize it.
Looks like in other novel that has been adapted to live adaptation, they will not include JQX smoking, right?…
I noticed that in some of the dramas they're solving it by showing characters with cigarettes in hand but not really smoking or implying that the person just finished smoking.
This drama would be a 10/10 for me but the āopenā part of the ending really made me disappointed. I get it…
It felt like too much of a work-in-progress for meāunfinished and unfulfilling. Donāt get me wrong, I appreciate realistic dramas, but this one felt incomplete, almost as if it were setting up for a second season. Sadly, in dramaland, thatās highly unlikely. I enjoyed the journey, but the destination just didnāt deliver.

I agreeāShi Ye isnāt your typical ML character. Pushed by his mother to be a leader, achieve success, and accumulate wealth, heās realized that these arenāt the things he truly wants in life, and I deeply respect that. Heās more of an introvert, valuing meaningful conversations with others.
Honestly, I found his character quite attractive, despite his personal struggles. Toward the end of the drama, he showed self-awareness of these issues, especially when his stand-up performance became more of a heartfelt confession.
That said, I can understand why some might find him uninteresting or even perceive him as weakāit really depends on what qualities you prioritize in a partner.

I agree, but I really liked how comfortable they were with each other when they first started dating. Their relationship felt so natural. Shi Ye recognized his issues and decided to work on them in last episode. I also noticed heās more introverted, even though heās been a stand-up guy for years. Performing seemed to be his way of expressing himself. Additionally, I was a bit disappointed that we didnāt get more insight into his relationship with his mother. Overall, his character couldāve been developed in a more interesting way.
On the other hand, her ex-boyfriend had remarkable character development. By the final episodes, I found myself really liking him. However, Iām still unsure how the FL truly felt about him, which only adds to my feeling that the ending wasnāt as satisfying as it could have been.

He was left heartbroken, and she was shattered in so many ways after a series of tragic events. Now, he comes across as a cold CEO, while she has turned into a people pleaser. Watching their interactions feels like theyāre revisiting the moment they separated, and itās almost like a form of healing for themāand for me. ā¤ļøāš©¹

Billionaire disappeared as unexpectedly as he showed up in FLs life before :)
