Title Later, I Laughed Spoiler
why is this open ending šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ’¤ not gonna put spoiler tag now so that others who dont like open endings would…
This drama would be a 10/10 for me but the ā€žopenā€ part of the ending really made me disappointed. I get it that this drama wasn’t about the romance, but still I would like to know who she chose at the end. Either if it would be any of the guys or not. But they made: ā€žthey gonna compete for her both in a fair mannerā€. Umm… okay? But it’s not about the competition, it’s about whoever she chooses? Ehh… 2024 is a cursed year for the cdrama’s ending.

Just spoil me the ending guys as I can't handle another sad ending.
Overall it’s a happy ending but regarding the choice of the romantic interest it’s an open ending. I hope it helps :)

is there any romance?
Yes, but it’s not the main focus of the drama, if you would ask me. It’s more prominent as the drama progresses. Anyway, chemistry is definitely on top and we also have the 2nd couple.

where can I find the songs playing in the background?
I have the same question. I tried so hard to Shazzam those but no luck yet. Anyone? šŸ™

Honestly to me, the drama direction can said, from the aspect of plot, is a bit serious and often can be one-sided…
Honestly, I think it’s pretty well balanced between seriousness and comedy. So far it’s the most enjoyable contemporary drama of the year for me.

I am having a really tough time making through episode 1- fl is so abuse. Tell me this gets better before I give…
It gets much better, this whole story is about her development. Also, she's not like that from nature. Worth the watch!

Team Shi Yi anyway šŸ˜ Waiting for his character development tho, for me he’s still kind of an enigma as character.
I think his marginal role in the last episode speaks volumes. Despite being outspoken and straightforward in general, when it comes to the FL, he’s completely lost his footing and now comes across as aloof. I believe I’ve mentioned this in the comments before, but I think he’s struggling with attachment issues.

Although he’s dated a lot, it’s clear he’s never truly been in love with any of those women. Now, things have gotten serious—he’s fallen in love, which means he actually has something to lose.

They're dating, but in the proper sense of the term. They're definitely not yet in an established relationship.…
I have similar feelings about this particular plotline, but I have to admit that it’s portrayed quite realistically—especially when it comes to the doubts and challenges the FL faces in this relationship. She even acknowledges that, for now, their interactions feel more like business meetings or lectures rather than genuine dates. Still, she’s trying to be fair by giving the relationship a chance. Rejecting it outright because of money wouldn’t be any better than pursuing it solely for financial reasons.

The FL also finds herself in a tricky situation—she began dating immediately after ending a serious relationship. She didn’t take the time to fully heal, grow, or process her emotions.

Another issue is that dating him seems more convenient than meaningful for her at the moment. She’s not emotionally invested in him, which makes it easier for her. He provides financial stability and support, but there’s no real depth to their connection—it’s transactional. While he offers a sense of security, it’s purely material.

Lastly, this arrangement also helps her avoid confronting the Shi Yi situation. My guess is that she’s afraid of emotional involvement with Shi Yi. As mentioned earlier, she hasn’t fully healed from her previous relationship and isn’t ready to open herself up emotionally yet.

To be fair, no one can know your true feelings even your parents. Sometimes even yourself. Sometimes I don't even…
You're right, I didn’t express myself well. I do know such people exist, but as you mentioned, in this drama, it’s exaggerated to the point of feeling like a 'superpower.' While some people are exceptionally in tune with others’ emotions and possess high emotional intelligence, that alone doesn’t make them perfect partners—especially if they can’t manage it properly. They’re still human, with their own issues. That said, being an empath has its perks too.

I suspect Shi Ye might have some attachment issues. While he’s portrayed as a very independent man, it feels like this might not just be a character trait but could also hint at a deeper underlying problem.

As much as I enjoy this drama and love the ML, I couldn't agree more with this statement. Let your standards be realistic, there is no such superpower that makes a person read other people's emotions/minds.

Make sure to genuinely love yourself first.
Learn how to communicate effectively.
Set boundaries, and don’t let others cross them freely.
Keep good, kind people close, and don’t waste your time on those who don’t care about you or your feelings.
And most importantly, don’t forget about the first point :)
