why is this open ending š¬š¬š¤ not gonna put spoiler tag now so that others who dont like open endings would…
This drama would be a 10/10 for me but the āopenā part of the ending really made me disappointed. I get it that this drama wasnāt about the romance, but still I would like to know who she chose at the end. Either if it would be any of the guys or not. But they made: āthey gonna compete for her both in a fair mannerā. Umm⦠okay? But itās not about the competition, itās about whoever she chooses? Ehh⦠2024 is a cursed year for the cdramaās ending.
Yes, but itās not the main focus of the drama, if you would ask me. Itās more prominent as the drama progresses. Anyway, chemistry is definitely on top and we also have the 2nd couple.
Team Shi Yi anyway š Waiting for his character development tho, for me heās still kind of an enigma as character.
I think his marginal role in the last episode speaks volumes. Despite being outspoken and straightforward in general, when it comes to the FL, heās completely lost his footing and now comes across as aloof. I believe Iāve mentioned this in the comments before, but I think heās struggling with attachment issues.
Although heās dated a lot, itās clear heās never truly been in love with any of those women. Now, things have gotten seriousāheās fallen in love, which means he actually has something to lose.
They're dating, but in the proper sense of the term. They're definitely not yet in an established relationship.…
I have similar feelings about this particular plotline, but I have to admit that itās portrayed quite realisticallyāespecially when it comes to the doubts and challenges the FL faces in this relationship. She even acknowledges that, for now, their interactions feel more like business meetings or lectures rather than genuine dates. Still, sheās trying to be fair by giving the relationship a chance. Rejecting it outright because of money wouldnāt be any better than pursuing it solely for financial reasons.
The FL also finds herself in a tricky situationāshe began dating immediately after ending a serious relationship. She didnāt take the time to fully heal, grow, or process her emotions.
Another issue is that dating him seems more convenient than meaningful for her at the moment. Sheās not emotionally invested in him, which makes it easier for her. He provides financial stability and support, but thereās no real depth to their connectionāitās transactional. While he offers a sense of security, itās purely material.
Lastly, this arrangement also helps her avoid confronting the Shi Yi situation. My guess is that sheās afraid of emotional involvement with Shi Yi. As mentioned earlier, she hasnāt fully healed from her previous relationship and isnāt ready to open herself up emotionally yet.
I hope dramas like this, and In Between, Fake Til You Make It, etc keep being produced. They are great to watch!!…
Any other recommendations? I watched Fake Til You Make It, Remembrance of Things Past, Tale of the Rose, Will Love in Spring. In Between is on my watchlist. I am literally craving for more dramas like this.
To be fair, no one can know your true feelings even your parents. Sometimes even yourself. Sometimes I don't even…
You're right, I didnāt express myself well. I do know such people exist, but as you mentioned, in this drama, itās exaggerated to the point of feeling like a 'superpower.' While some people are exceptionally in tune with othersā emotions and possess high emotional intelligence, that alone doesnāt make them perfect partnersāespecially if they canāt manage it properly. Theyāre still human, with their own issues. That said, being an empath has its perks too.
The scene when their talked outside of hospital was so good, I had to save that quote about awkward moments in…
I suspect Shi Ye might have some attachment issues. While heās portrayed as a very independent man, it feels like this might not just be a character trait but could also hint at a deeper underlying problem.
After watching the preview of EP9: Looks like we will get more details about O Chan Hwi and probably his past. I can't wait, the 2CP is really growing on me.

As much as I enjoy this drama and love the ML, I couldn't agree more with this statement. Let your standards be realistic, there is no such superpower that makes a person read other people's emotions/minds.
