its here love triangle female in love with another man ??
Yes, there is a love triangle but from my perspective it was done very well here. It’s not for the sake of the drama itself but has indeed a big influence on each characters development throughout the story.

No, it was a misunderstanding. He’s been just feeling very comfortable with that woman. I think she was more…
Sure, I guess it depends also on personal judgment. If they talked it out with the FL and she was okay with that situation, I see no issue either.

Dropping this. I feel it’s pointless. Love ML flawed character. I find the story a little absurd. Too much screaming…
First half is more like that (action/absurd/comedy), the second part of this drama is much more focused on the emotional part and each character’s development. That’s what I think.

he isnt even listed in the cast??
Alex Landi doesn’t even have a MDL account and that may be a reason why he’s not listed here. Mr. Plankton is his first kdrama as he’s been more active in USA before (where he was born).

Did he cheat? you know the scene where he was wearing red undies and the woman with the black lingerie?
No, it was a misunderstanding. He’s been just feeling very comfortable with that woman. I think she was more like a mother/sister figure to him than a lover.

It’s getting better with each new episode. The chemistry is really good and I am totally in love with Yun Minju. His emotional intelligence and sensibility are nicely portrayed by Lee Jongwon ❤️

I really like it so far. The only parts I’m fast forwarding are the workplace scenes, I find them kinda boring.

Oh, and I really like 2ML from the second couple (FL’s friend, not the love-triangle-2ML). I think he’s a really good person and emotionally intelligent guy.

Anyone else was trying to find the name of the actor portraying John Na? Seems he has no profile on MDL yet.

I have answer for you, it’s Alex Landi, American actor of Korean-Italian descent. Some of you may recognize him from Grey’s Anatomy.

Normally dramas dont air so slow but I guess obviously because its so popular they want to keep the hype longerGood…
iQIYI has some really bad year when it comes to dramas, especially costume ones so they will drag FoF as long as possible, I’m afraid. They failed with FSMM1 big time so they have to overcome the crisis with this one 😅

Looks like people are still trying hard to bash Chen DuLing’s WenXiao. The denial of her character’s chemistry…
Not the scene with his visions of their life together, it got me in tears

This is one dumb ass schedule.
iQIYI finally released some good drama, they gonna drag the schedule for as long as possible, I’m afraid 🥲

Cold prince who doesn't smile, and sweet little stand up comedian who makes everyone smile but she cries silently.
Sounds like fun to me (and clearly, I’m a bit of a masochist when it comes to my drama choices 😅).

Every time the song by Hou Minghao plays, I cry uncontrollably. That one scene in ep21 and the preview from ep23 💔

why?? editing technique??
The overall chaotic vibe—filled with chases, funny misunderstandings, and a lighthearted tone balanced with just the right amount of action and drama—feels fresh and engaging. The way the characters are introduced even reminds me of Guy Ritchie's style. The ML is far from being a typical 'green flag' or 'good guy,' yet he's complex enough to make you sympathize with him anyway. Casting Woo Do Hwan in this role was a perfect choice.

I have a feeling this drama might not be well received by the broader audience, as it strays far from typical K-drama conventions and has a more Westernized style. But let me say, if you're a fan of both K-dramas and Guy Ritchie’s work, it’s definitely worth giving it a try!

I’m quite sure that people behind this drama are die hard fans of Guy Ritchie’s work 😏😅

Person Lee Sun
Please, let’s break the curse on KBL actors and give him more projects ASAP. He’s truly talented and has a captivating presence. It would be such a waste not to give him a chance at more diverse roles just because KBL actors are often limited to BL projects. I can absolutely see him thriving in a wider range of roles.

I’m so confused this was so badly written? Am I missing something? Yeah acting was pretty good but that was…
Unfortunately, I have very similar feelings about this drama. The acting was top-tier, but the screenplay… not so much. It felt messy and unbalanced, especially for a drama with a slower pace. I usually love when things are subtle and not overly obvious, but here I found myself facing a lot of confusion—and not in a good way.
On The Story of Pearl Girl Nov 7, 2024
Every time Cui Shi Jiu shows up on screen, I can't help but fast-forward to the next scene or watch at 1.5x speed. I understand she’s an important character for the story, but I find her scenes so repetitive—she’s always circling back to the same statements and anger issues. It just feels boring.

Some OST is already available on Apple Music. Fingers crossed they will add all of tracks sooner or later.
I put the native title of the drama, in this situation: 大梦归离.
