I don’t think a couple has made me blush this hard since that romantic scene in Prisoner of Beauty. POB’s romantic scene still ranks at the top for me, but FSG and FYX’s love definitely has me blushing just as much.
Well he didn't kill her, her overconfident killed her.. Pointing a sword at the emperor will gives the villains…
I think the drama is trying to show her as sharp-tongued, outspoken, and impossible to control—just like FYX. But the emperor isn’t like FSG. The theme I’m seeing is that FSG and his mother both value autonomy and the freedom to make their own choices. That’s why he’s drawn to FYX—she lives on her own terms. I believe that’s how FSG’s mother is being portrayed too, but her circumstances were different, and she was tied to a very different man.
If the writers don’t end up bamboozling us, my happy ending prediction is that FSG will not take the throne.…
I can’t see Yao being chosen since he threatened FYX’s life, especially since he said her enemy was his enemy. But I get your point about picking the lesser evil—my guess is it might be his younger brother, or maybe they’ll let the common people decide.
tbh.. feng suige has had a rough two days.. finding out about two betrayals.. he only trusts FYX and his soldiers..…
Exactly! Why are they villainizing his mom when she’s doing exactly what FYX would do? I know a lot of commenters aren’t parents yet, and it shows. A mother would fiercely protect their children too—even if it comes off blunt or ‘inappropriate.’ Any parent would do the same if they feared for their child’s wellbeing. Being a Royal doesn’t stop mother’s instincts.
My theory was dead on right!!! If you look at my detailed post a few days ago I had felt strongly Feng Sui Ge…
If the writers don’t end up bamboozling us, my happy ending prediction is that FSG will not take the throne. He and FYX will live peacefully together—either in the countryside or at his mother’s old retreat. It might not sound like the ideal love story, but they become a power couple in their own way. They got their wish fulfilled (from the boat scene), and that’s happy enough for them… and for me.
Wow! Feng Pingcheng truly surprised me. I didn't expect him to turn into such a jerky character. I thought the…
I think the show is trying to portray FSG’s mom like FYX. In the new trailer, he even tells her she reminds him of his mom. That short scene doesn’t quite do her character justice, but the bigger theme here is clear: FSG and his mom both value autonomy. You see it when he tells FYX he won’t force her to stay.
Doesn’t it seem that Feng Sui and Yixiao fell for each other too quickly? I don’t think I’ve seen enemies-to-lovers…
I think the pacing was perfect. By the time they fell for each other, we were already halfway through the drama. I would’ve been annoyed if they waited until episode 30 to finally get together and then rushed their relationship.
A lot of predictions for ending are he will become Emperor and she Empresses.. Kind of hate to see Fu Yi Xiao…

I don’t know if any of you are parents yet, but it’s definitely a “mama bear” thing—when it comes to your kids, you’ll fight for them without thinking twice. lol
Is it me or does anyone else feel ml's mother overstepped her line.I get it the emperor changed because of power,…
I feel like they’re trying to portray FSG’s mother as a character similar to FYX—strong, independent, and kind of a badass—but that short clip didn’t really do her justice. To me, she represents autonomy. Just like FSG never forced FXY to stay and always gave her the freedom to choose, his mother seems to value the same thing. Some people don’t want to be controlled or pushed into roles they didn’t choose, and that’s a big theme here. It shows how complex these characters really are. You even see it in the trailer when FSG says FXY is just like his mother.

Yeah, it’s actually easy to sympathize with every villain in this drama. Everyone has their own tragic story, and even when they’re wrong, you can still understand how they got there.

I mean, I guess it is realistic that the emperor ended up being power hungry—it actually fits his character and explains why FSG’s mother tried to leave him. But I was still blindsided. I really thought we were heading toward his redemption arc. I assumed everything he did was to mold FSG into a strong ruler so he could avenge his mother’s death and take down everyone who wronged their family. In the end, though, he just wanted power—and he wanted his son to become like him. Ironically, all that molding only made FSG more like his mother.
We are finally getting that spicy scene between FSG and FYX 🔥🔥🔥
