Episode 24 thoughts — can we talk about the emperor for a second??
Did I miss something along the way? At first, I honestly thought he was just an annoying, emotionally distant father. Then I really believed we were getting set up for a redemption arc—only for the reveal to show he wasn’t shit anyway?? I get that he did all of this to mold Feng Suige, but I still didn’t expect that side of him. Did I miss a hint somewhere earlier?
Also, can we talk about FSG? He is really his mother’s son, because the way he genuinely doesn’t care about the throne—he’s out here pulling a full-on Jon Snow for anyone who watches Game of Thrones 😂.
I finally wanted to check this out since Fated Hearts started airing, but I'm struggling to even make it to any…
I am doing the same. Watching this concurrently with Fated Hearts. I like the story line so far and just finally getting to more action after the big explosion. But why did I feel like the show was dragging its feet? Some scenes are so slow and the constant blank stares and no talking.. it’s been hard to watch, but I really want to finish because I heard how good it was. I saw some clips and do believe this, it’s just the slow dragging scenes and blank stares for me.
Episode 18 — let’s talk about the emperor falling ill. So he’s the patient the physician has been secretly visiting in the city… I have a feeling the emperor’s known for a while that he’s being poisoned and is just playing along, giving FSG time to grow stronger before facing the empress and prime minister. I’m still waiting for the big reveal behind Murong Yao’s true motives, but honestly… I’m not ready for the heartbreak that’s coming 😭
I refuse to believe that the princess just blindly follow her heart. perhaps, she chose to help his brother using…
She drives me nuts! Giving her the benefit of doubt too! Maybe this is setting us up for her to team up with emperor of Junxiu to go against XJS. Fingers crossed!
Episode 17I have to give kudos to the actress that plays the Princess. It takes a certain skill to play a character…
I completely agree! They’re so direct and honest about their feelings — no beating around the bush, no pointless misunderstandings, just pure sincerity. It’s so refreshing to see a couple that knows what they want and communicates it openly. Definitely one of my favorite couples so far. I really hope they stay this way!
I can’t get enough of the moments between FYX and FSG — they’re so in love, but in the best way possible. Not blindly or foolishly like the Princess’ obsession with XJS, but as true equals — a real power couple. From the fireworks scene to their kiss, every moment between them feels genuine and full of emotion. I love that FSG clearly fell first and fell hard, and that FYX loves him back without all the usual misunderstandings or emotional games. They’re authentic, showing love through actions instead of just words — and that’s what makes them so captivating to me.
But seeing the new previews… this really feels like the calm before the storm. I’m not ready for FSG’s heartbreak, or for whatever pain FYX will have to endure because of it. 💔
i wouldn't say he liked her before he met her... he was prob very intrigued by her
Yeah I believe he was captivated by her beauty and her essence as a general. But they were still enemies until they weren’t.. but through their dialogue and his dialogue with others you can definitely tell he fell first. I am all for it!
Li Qin is drop dead gorgeous. If she looks 'too old', I don't know how many of us would be considered fossils.I…
Yes, I agree! I take seasoned actors too because they can actually bring the characters to life. This was how I felt about Liu Xueyi too. I saw people commenting how he is way past his prime and too old now but I actually think he’s in his acting prime and I am a huge fan of his acting.
I really love how FYX is strong and competent and can be a second set of eyes for FSG. Just like in the previews FSG saying he will be her left hand. So will she to him.
