this princess is only relevant for two episodes and I doubt she will appear again as this arc is closed. however they have not shown ml getting back at her for what she did to fl. there is no love triangle.

it would be ML to move. she asked the emperor to make him her "fuma" (consort) which means he would have a lower status

also, he would be foolish to let him go to a foreign country as he would create an enemy for his kingdom should his alliances change

I no longer read novels before adaptations because I get disappointed by the live action

Qin Zhaoyu is too impatient and insecure. you'll get the man you want, just sit still! at least we're back in the coroner office, the royal palace games added nothing but at least Qin Wan got a title that is the same status as Yan Chi. now no one can oppose their marriage on that point.

emperor seemed to get triggered after yan chi's speech to the foreign prince. he must have done something underhanded to keep his throne. probably to prince jin

this show is really interesting. there's a good balance of romance and solving the cases. one part doesn't interfere with the other and the leads separate business and romance. the cases are also interesting and easy to follow, though tbh I found it hard to keep up with everyone involved with the 4th case. new prince yan qi looks dangerous. I wish all the episodes would drop!

as the Qin family case wraps up, I still feel like Caihe roped Qin Li into her revenge plan. the timing of his illness was too convenient. the leads act like lovers/a married couple already it's so cute! however, I know Qin Wan is supposed to investigate cases for the plot but I can't help but feel like she is a bit nosy

ohhh so Qin Liang and the Marquis are the sons of the first wife I get it now.
