This couple is so mature and sexy. I love that I see sparks between them even if LSS is married. sorry LSS husband but I'm really enjoying this. there's also something so pure about them. someone below has mentioned, they've seen so much killing in their lives but they are gentle in love. I thought characters like them who are spies and keep secrets would be bad at communicating but they solve misunderstandings quite quickly. I think this is becoming my favourite mature c drama couple even over Word of Honour, The Rise of the Phoenixes and A Dream of Splendour.
On another note, so far no character is too annoying, even the villains and I like that. Instead the villains are calculating with good reasons and they don't do evil acts for illogical reasons like jealousy or envy (well except the two An princes but we'll see). Even if they do, the writing so far gets rid of a character like that quickly. The princess' character development is also good, at least she's not crying all the way to An but is becoming a source of strength. she might become the strongest royal by the time the show is over.
I don't say this about Chinese actresses but the FL is so sexy. She's giving adult, which I don't see in c dramas. The last time I thought an actress was so cool was the swordslady from Sword Snow Stride. Like a tough unnie type character. I need to see more 30+ women in dramas. Even the whole baby talk is a different element I haven't seen in FLs. The men were right, this is grown folk business, the kids don't need to know all that lol. She's so real. And I love seeing female martial artists who are actually good and arent always saved by the ML. She saves him!
No wonder she was so small in Love in Contract. Is it necessary? The drama might not even be that good. I hope she did it safely and with a nutrionist advising her.

I noticed he would put the camera at a low angle every time duke xue was speaking then slowly raise it up twice in a scene. for someone like me who doesn't usually care about the cinematography in c dramas it was distracting.

1. yes. very deep but deeper with the second ML in the novel. FL has time with each love interest before the ML so it doesn't feel as obvious who she'll end up with and she genuinely loved each in different ways. the second and third MLs also don't annoyingly interfere with the OTP. this is the first time a triangle didn't annoy me because all the guys are mature. 2. I'd say it started in ep 32 but she was always holding back from him till the last ep 3. no breakup, instead they take forever to just say they wanna be together. she takes longer than him 4. yes
She should get a main role. I've never forgotten her performance in Romance is a Bonus Book. She disappears so much into her charcter that I only recognised her in Her Private Life the second time I watched it
