The first time YWS was poisoned, she felt hot, the second time she felt cold. did the poison counter itself or it was the effect of the relief medicine? also, lady wuji goes to pray for the former SW every 1st and 15th of the month. does she go there to endure her dark hour? is it possible she was poisoned by the Fortnight Flies as well? and will YWS tell SGQ about the poisons effects? it seems as if they don't need wufeng anymore if they can survive the effects.

another thing has been solved for me. it seems like GSJ wants GZY to be worthy of being SW and that's why he insisted on GZY taking the three trials.

I don't think Elder Yue is Wufeng. he could have learned the move from Yun Que and knew she was a spy. he was in love with her just like Ziyu and Shangjue

I mean sure. If "filler" is too harsh maybe to say the back story episodes paused the plot from moving forward. I'd also include the lantern festival and the piling of mysteries with no payoff into that pause as well. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just an explanation for why FL and ML seem less "interesting." Their activities so far (the trials) drive the plot forward (Ziyu becoming the SW) and the vehicle so to speak has been paused for a while

On point one, I went back to watch episode 8 to check the business with the bracelet. he is at the back hill staring at the bracelet while looking at reciting a poem on a painting. After that scene, a servant comes to inform him that the front hill has reported that elder yue has died and he looks shocked. did he fake that reaction? was he at the back hill the at the time the murder occurred?

Hm, a good point. Then we could view this drama the same way the people watched Game of Thrones. The person you think is the main character could die anytime or is probably insignificant to the story even if they are your favourite character. However, I agree with the commenter above you that with the way c dramas are structured, "ML & FL" "SML & SFL" and "traffic stars" makes the audience root for the main leads over the rest. If this was a drama that had a cast full of "traffic stars" (meaning actors who have all lead a big drama before or had major roles) it may be harder to judge GSJ too harshly because sometimes having a popular actor in an ensemble cast (not lead) makes some of the audience "protect" them as well

It is possible that he is deliberately goading GZY to become better and be deserving of the SW position and is even hiding it from GYZ

I think it's because her arc will move forward while GZY does the trials. So far there's been a pause on that with the filler episodes on Lady Lan, Wuji, Jin Fan, GSJ and GYZ back stories. To be fair though there was discussion on about what her motivations are now after the whole thing with Ziyi and HYS

that's the problem though. he doesn't know that he shouldn't trust just anyone. remember at the festival YWS asked him "haven't you been trained to lie?" and he responded, "who trains to lie?" he's not suspicious enough and that will be his downfall
