Is there any k-drama where the FL puts her foot down the moment she is insulted by her in-laws and the loser husband does nothing to stop them? It feels like the makers are worried that a section of the viewers would blame the FL if she has self respect and doesn't wait for years hoping her doormat attitude will earn her respect.
Dropped at the 6th episode, it was the ML who left because he was immature but once he is back it's the FL being immature with no self respect, running to him. The same old story keeps being used by taking different actors. Not worthy of my time.
I love LuSi but I'm on the 5th episode and really struggling coz of the FL's character. Can't give her a leeway just because she is an orphan and that there was no one to teach her manners. It's like saying that everyone who has parents grows up with manners. I normally binge watch dramas but after an episode finishes, I take a few days break before resuming this one.
Keep your expectations very low in order to enjoy this. The leads are not that good but the actress needs to learn a lot. She has almost no expressions. Whenever she did have them they were totally misleading. And then her dubbing artist kept breathing in the mic to add to the fun LOL
After the leap she comes back so strong that she keeps getting drunk so that the ML can help her again and again and it's not even one of her grand plans. She is so strong that both the ML and SML order her around. She thinks the ML is the reason for her miscarriage and yet loves him, doesn't set boundaries and lets him do whatever he wants. She is so rude to her assistant that I kept hoping he would turn against her or find another job.
The synopsis claims the FL comes back 'much stronger, and thirsty for bloody revenge' but in truth the moment something went wrong she had to take help from the ML coz you can't have the woman actually do something on her own. The man has to step in. She was never actually angry at the ML, was just pouting then she found out he didn't know about her pregnancy and they are back. And that's it.

Her bf dumps her coz he has career goals and suddenly the kind ML lands who offers to marry her and now she loses focus at work and only thinks about him 😂 I just knew that subs would be available for this one and they were!
I feel such stories r being written so that young girls start thinking that their one agenda in life should be to marry and make babies. We keep hearing in news how more n more women are focusing on their life instead of running after men so dramas can be a good way to tell them how n what to think. most c-dramas too propagate the same...

I didn't know about Asadora but I can totally understand the hurt, disappointment and sadness. We keep thinking someday someone will resume but it's the bitter truth that subbers move on while we r stuck. I think ppl like us are in the minority otherwise sites would invest and provide subs but they are running a business and will look for profit wherease like u said, individual ones will give up if it's too much :(

Let me again compare with BLs that show worse things which are never addressed and taken as normal. At times it feels as if they live in a world where teachers don't even exist and students can do whatever they want. So the inequality of criticism is quite evident. I won't even mention lakorns coz those who watch them know how problematic they are. If we look at this episode on its own then obviously we can point out things that should have, could have.
I've seen this trend in other GL comment section as well while some of the worst BLs that came recently were hailed as amazing and I fell in the trap and wasted time watching before dropping them. Maybe GL viewers have a higher standard than BL fans but since I watch both so I had to write my feelings.

There are many dramas from c/k/thai that don't write proper FLs even though women are the target audience. Do writers think women will like to hate a female lead?
I watched the 1st episode and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad. I've seen worse BLs being hailed as a masterpiece, they are not dissected so much if they have lots of kissing scenes. It doesn't matter if even the lead actors can't act well. So why not give the same courtesy to GLs?
There was a BL where the friends of the leads banged the door of an apartment thinking there was a girl living in there, and that it was fun to tease her a bit. No one taught them a lesson and it was played for laughs. On the contrary here the teacher and fellow students made sure those 2 stupid boys were made to apologize and teach them what they did was wrong.
Having said that, the makers should remember and value the freedom they have in Thailand. I watched the c-drama 'couple of mirrors' which was high in quality, had good actresses but will never get the next season and we know why.
