This was so bad, it was evident from the very 1st episode. George was the saving grace, as usual.

The FL was a weakling surrounded by her family of gold diggers, they knew she was a doormat who would clean after their mess. Her amazing family would even lose her kid as if he was a burden. The ML had no manners when he didn't remember her then once he wanted her back, he started believing and chasing her and it was obvious she was throwing tantrums and would easily take him back.

Any self respecting woman would have moved out of the zoo long back. But this is not that drama so I didn't bother finishing it knowing how it would end.

"..he meets the beautiful Shen Bi Jun, a great martial artist. When Xiao repeatedly saves Bi Jun’s life.." so even though she is a great martial artist she still needs a man to save her again and again? 😂

So basically the ML is a pimp who had a change of heart after enough time went by, in this time gap the FL could have been molested and worse. Thanks for giving the details.
I know there are viewers who watch lakorns that propagate that rape is romance and then write how lovely it was. So I don't blame that yours was the only comment here that did not try to gloss over this disgusting episode...

Even many short length dramas of this genre are quite good so hopefully his will satisfy us :)

Even I don't watch if there are no subs, I need to know what's going on. I really hope his next dramas will be much better :D

The writer made sure I'd be on the ML's side.

The FL was controlling, would hit him, ML would try to get a spine then go back. I don't even want to comment about the earlier episodes of her hanging out with her male friend to the extent that anyone would think she was two timing.
The FL didn't even care to tell the ML about her ex, letting him make a fool of himself. She clearly didn't trust him enough so I don't blame the ML for suspecting her and using harsh words. It felt as if she thought no matter what she did, the ML would keep wagging his tail. It's coz of her attitude that I didn't feel bad when he broke up with her.
I would have totally blamed the ML had he suspected or insulted her if she had been honest with him.

In the last episode, the writer remembered the drama needed a time jump, so this time the FL broke up with for some reason even the writer couldn't think of. Once again, it's the ML wanting to get together and she says yes. It was CSW who saved the drama or else I would have dropped it for sure.

Wow! Thanks for the details, I had no idea about the top bosses who are responsible for us not getting subs coz they are stuck in stone age. Whenever we hear of a new c/k/thai drama we take it for granted that good subs will be provided unless it's mango tv (their subs are hilariously bad and change the entire meaning of scenes lol)

"bad machine translations that are even thanked for by people..." it's like how bad actors keep getting lead roles coz there are many viewers who think good looks means good acting and have a low standard, they are satisfied with crap so bad actors keep getting hired

"get tired of it and drop it" this happened with a korean reality show I had started watching 'off to school'. It was so good but no site has it subbed after ep31, someone told me that subbers/sites aren't interested in subbing old shows thinking no one will watch it :(

'Japanese don't care...' that's exactly what I feel. Whereas china/korea/thailand industry makes sure we get subs asap, thr r numerous sites for them as well but good luck finding subs for j-dramas or movies.
I kept many j-dramas in bookmarks hoping they'll get subbed but now I've started removing them, there's no hope.

I don't understand why even Japanese channels don't sub their own dramas. There are so many j-drams I had to drop coz either subs are not available or the subber wants money! :(

This was as disgusting as the 1st season, I dropped this one at the 2nd episode.

No sane, modern woman would want to be with a man who has multiple partners and yet in the 1st season the FL was happy to be pregnant. This one's synopsis claims she has got sense and is there for revenge but in the 2 episodes I watched she is busy pouting at the loser ML who in turn keeps slapping and strangling her. We're told the ML has changed but he still shows his weakness by slapping a woman.
The writer must be a sadist or a masochist. No grown up will enjoy this crap while youngsters should watch something better.

Thanks for confirming. I actually hoped it'll improve once the leads met but the manner in which his friends kept making awkward comments from the very 1st moment they met her and the slow pacing bored me. I actually like these 2 actors but this drama isn't for me.

I love Jian and Zhou a lot but 2 episodes down and the leads are playing hide and seek. All that has happened is them voice chatting and exchanging recipes. I've already started skipping scenes and that's not a good sign.
